Description

Up for sale is a beautiful two owner original 1979 Harley Davidson FLH Electra Glide Classic in the limited edition Willie G. paint scheme!

This is avery desirable limited edition FLH. This motorcycle is in very good original condition. It is the Willie G. DavidsonCommemorative FLHCwelcoming him back to Harley Davidson (it is also the first 80"cu.in. Shovelhead) it is complete right down to the always missing 80" saddle bag plaques and square Harley Davidson badges on the rear saddle bag frames.

All original accessories included King Tour-Pak trunk side hard bags fairing windshield engine covers etc!

Bike even has all the original factory stickers on it! In the trunk on top of the air cleaner on the windshield frame on the handlebars next to the master cylinder etc!

King Tour-Pak trunk is spring loaded and can lock in place or come off the bike in about 10 seconds! From touring to cruiser in just a few seconds you can lose the trunk for a more streamlined look. Comes with original key that fits the trunk and the hard bags. I have added pics showing the bike with and without the trunk so you can see the different look of the bike.

You NEVER find a bike with its original stickers still in place and in great shape!

First owner bough the bike new in 1979 and drove it for 19800 miles.

Second owner bought it from him in 1990 andonly put on an additional 7K miles on the bike inthe last 25 years! Then a year ago he had a bad car accident and now is unable to ride any longer.

Mileageshows 26880. original miles now.

Mileage is correct and original to the bike and listed as such on the title.

Here is your chance to get an original paint bike with all original factory features and accessories in the limited edition Willie G. Davidson one year only paint scheme!

Title is clearhas been signed and is ready for new owner to put their name on it!

Bike is in very good shape for being 36 years old and qualifies as "antique" for states that have the 35 year old rule. $16 a year registration here in KS!

Bike has no dents that I can see just numerous paint scratches rock chips and wear for being 36 years old. Bike is VERY presentable and patina looks great!

Bike was last ridden approx a year ago. We charged the battery hit the button and she fired right up! We rode her in the parking lot and she rode very well for the age!

Front brake was soft so we added a bit of fluid to it and it is acceptible now butit willnew a master cylinder handlebar gasket eventually.

Bike runs and drives shifts fine etc. however a full tune up new plugs etc. should be done before the bike is ridden any distance.

Tires are in excellent shape with probably 90% or more tread left no dry rot new tires were put on about 6 months before his accident so they should be good for the next few seasons.

Here is what we see that will need addressing at some time in the future by the new owner. This is just what we see from the short time we have had the bike.

All fluids will need to be changed.

Probably should drain the gas tank and flush but bike started up fine on old gas.

Carb needs cleaned its the original carb and could use adjusting to get idle perfect etc.

Front master cylinder will need a new paper gasket ($5) as it seeps fluid slowly.

Throttle cable and clutch cable could use a good lubing.

Headlight comes on sometimes sometimes not. Seems to be an intermittent short or a loose wire at the ignition switch

Speedo needs a mounting ring as the old one is gone.

Sometimes you have to push the starter button a few times before she cranks once again I think there is a loose wire most likely in the ignition switch in the center speedo console. Starter engages flywheel perfectly everytime there just seems to be an intermittent loose wire at the starter switch or ignition switch.

I would put a new ignition switch on the bike (a new ignition switch would probablyfix the headlight issue and intermittent starter button issue above!) as the bike has no ignition key. Ignition switch works as it should currently but if it weremy bikeI would put a new one on it and check all the wires etc. The originalkey that fits the trunk and bags comes with the bike but the ignition key was lost long ago. Previous owner told me he never used the ignition key once in 25 years! Most riders never lock their ignition anyway so might not be high on the new owner's priority list.

General cleaning and TLC.

Bike is all there starts and runs shifts fine and drives and needs a general tune up and a good wash.

No hidden issues just a nice old limited edition Willie G. shovel with original paint and original equipment...getting harder and harder to find these days.

Bike has always been stored indoors and we can store the bike until pickup arrangements can be made by the new owner. Bike MUST be paid for in full at the end of the auction then we can store it for the new buyer until pickup.

Bid with confidence as I have 100% feedback over 10+ years with many high dollar bike and cars sold.

Bike comes as-is where-is with no warranty implied or given.
