Description

In this auction we have a Harley Davidson Aermacchi Sprint 1961 C Model. This bike runs and you can see the video here. We are relisting this auction due to continued interest from collectors after the auction ended with a bid retraction. Retractions can cast a shadow of doubt on the auction so we want to address that here -- we're not sure why the buyer retracted his bid other than his previous history of bid retractions. That being said if you have questions would like to know the reserve or want further details please feel free to call or send a message. This bike runs well (please see the video here) and there are some really interesting standout details I will list below.

*New Sureflex clutch

*NOS .020 piston

*New battery

*New intake and exhaust valves

*Runs well -- clutch and transmission are roadworthy and this was test ridden up the road numerous times while dialing it in

*Speedometer works and has a new inner speedometer cable to make it function flawlessly.

*New ignition coil which makes it much easier to start.

*This bike also retains many of this particular model’s one year only parts that are often hard to find since they all changed in 1962 and onward.

*1961 Harley Sprints are becoming more rare and it’s not as easy to find one intact in running condition. It’s one of the most collectible Harley Sprint street bikes if you aren’t in the mood to pay for one of the CR Sprint race bikes and it has a lower entry cost than a comparable Ducati 250cc.

*Wiring and cosmetics (obviously) could be rehabbed but this would function well as a daily rider if you were Mad Max and you had to work at the Thunderdome.

*This could also serve as a Moto Giro bike if you did simple wiring repairs and left the cosmetics as they are.

Please review the photos and videos and if you have further questions feel free to contact me. This bike has a lot of potential and just needs the right buyer to take it towards a full restoration ride it with that barn fresh patina or turn it towards a more custom/race oriented setup. If you missed out on the first auction here is your chance to pick this up.

Please feel free to contact with me any questions you may have after you review the photos and description. I can return messages here quickly or you may reach me at 740.547.6567.

Shipping returns and payment –

The final payment will be accepted as cash upon pickup or through a verified payment method. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions prior to bidding.

Since we are dealing with vintage motorcycles you are purchasing the bike as is with no warranty and no returns accepted at this time. Please see my feedback however and feel comfortable that you are getting what you are being shown as it was described.
