Started out as a FXSTC. At 65,000 miles, noticed the motor leaking slightly at the base cylinder. Decided to fix it. While doing this, lost my mind and began to tear the bike completely apart! I am a competent mechanic, nd in a professional shop with the help of a certified, arley mechanic--and his machine tools--I totally rebuilt the bike 24,000 miles ago: Wiseco 10.1 pistons (93 Octane required), ew adjustable pushrods, ydraulic lifters, ew Torrington inner cam bearing, omplete Cometic upper end gasket kit, ew ignition, oil, alves, alve seals and springs. New primary chain with Hayden automatic chain tensioner (chain never needs adjusting, have the old tensioner included in sale if you wish to swap back), V27 Cam, ew cometic base cylinder gaskets, ew vacuum and fuel lines, ew intake and exhaust seals. Carburetor totally rebuilt and tuned by Killer Carbs. Bike starts and runs flawlessly. 45-50 MPG every day.New enrichener cable. New carb seal. New Rear Drive pulley, ew sealed wheel bearings front and rear. New Stator, otor and new voltage regulator. New Revtech 6 speed transmission. This tranny has been flawless in operation, espite some negative press. Saddlemen Seat with gel pads ($450). New handlebar risers and rubber vibration pads. New, wept back handlebar for comfort. New SHOTGUN SHOCK air ride system ($1200 and the most comfortable ride I have ever had on a Harley). New front fork Progressive springs. Vance and Hines Shotgun pipes--GREAT sound! 12,000 miles ago: new DUAL caliper rear brake system--huge upgrade in stopping power. New Anti-Gravity lithium battery ($250 and both heat and vibration proof). Purchased a spare ECM and harness--included in sale. New ignition switch. Spare ignition switch included (this part is hard to find, nd the only time the bike ever left us stranded). Also, ewired the ignition to avoid the "dreaded click" known to Evo Softails. See here if you are interested: http://www.hdforums.com/forum/evo-classic-models/845084-edited-adding-a-second-relay-to-fix-the-dreaded-click.html. Left all wiring under seat, an be swapped back anytime in minutes. Recently: New drive belt, ew rear brake pads.New fork seals, ewinner front fork tube. This January I changed all fluids, rimary, ranny, orks, lugs... new plug wires. New Air Horn (VERY LOUD). Plus, here are all kind of little things we've done, ike an aircraft grade quick coupling on theconnecting fuel line beneath the split tanks. Makes removing the tanks easy and no mess.Handlebars are filled with #8 lead shot to completely dampen vibration. Driver and passenger "shaker boards" with a 1/4 gel pad and non skid on top to again isolate vibration. This bike is very smooth. My wife and I put on 4,000 miles in 3 weeks several years ago.
My wife and I love this bike. It has been a magic carpet ride, nd I sell it reluctantly. We are getting older, hough, nd I'm upgrading us to an Ultra Classic for more comfort. It is another EVO motor, hough--the best engine Harley ever made. I require a $300 deposit by Paypal within 48 hours. Remaining payment on acceptance in cash only. No rides; I'm sorry, ut my insurance does not cover it.I have clear title. Helmet lock mounted on handlebar, wo keys. Also have a Service Manual and Parts manual included.
Oh! Also, fter all the work started to repair a base cylinder leak that Evo owners know about... it still leaks a little.
