Description

When I'm looking at bikes I don't like reading "too much to list" (Seriously? You have that much? Seriously?)
I'll do the best I can to lay it all out:
I have a 1976 Harley Davidson FLH bobber style bike with a clean Florida Title for sale.
This bike started out as a bone stock low mileage Electra Glide. The engine is 1200cc and it's got the stock four speed transmission equipped with a hydraulic clutch with kickstart. The electric and kick start both work. The engine and transmission have been gone through and have a clean bill of health.
The frame was converted to a rigid with '48 style cast axle plates to keep the original frame and engine numbers matching, eeping the title and registration process clean. I designed the bike and it was turned into a reality by top quality custom shop.
The bike won a "Wicked Pissah Bike" trophy at the 2011 Greasebag Bike Show in Laconia New Hampshire and a couple small ride in shows locally.
The throttle and clutch are internal through the custom stainless handlebars keeping everything clean. If you know what you're looking at you can see there are MANY MANY hours of custom fabrication work and lots of attention to detail. All lines are aircraft grade high pressure lines and fittings. The stainless steel exhaust was custom made with stainless cocktail shakers and feature spring quick disconnects for easy removal and service very similar to a sport bike.
The primary is an open chain drive topped off with a custom cut outer primary cover. All wiring except the plug wires are vintage style cloth covered. The bike was properly shaken down and has less than 350 miles since the build was complete. I chose not to cover any of the fabrication and beautiful welds with paint and powdercoat. This bike sports a coating of Gibb's gun oil for protection. There is no paint or clear on the sheet metal.
The forks are off a late model big twin for better (any) rebound dampening and brake setup. Juice brakes in the rear and disc brakes up front. Both brakes are operated by the foot pedal connecting two custom master cylinders and a proportioning valve.
If you're a shovelhead novice, lease keep in mind this motorcycle is almost 40 year old technology. The chrome is worn and what little paint there is on the bike is worn and chipped. This is not a faux patina it's real wear. Please do not expect a showroom condition motorcycle, ot even close. It is mechanically and structurally sound (and yes, t drips).
There are no cheap or junk parts on this bike. I am selling to pursue other interests.
I like vintage bikes and aircraft and I tried to capture the look and feel of both with this bike. If you live out of state I will do my best to accommodate whichever shipping method you make arrangements for but that responsibility will be yours and at your expense. If you're near Spring Hill, lorida you're welcomed to come and see it in person.
Payment IN FULL is due within 3 days of the auction closing. If you have less than 100% positive or no feedback, lease contact me before bidding.
Feel free to ask intelligent questions.
