Up for auction is a very nice 92 softtail. I have had the bike for about a year, rove it to the 2015 sturgis ralley for bucket list. In preperation, did a lot to the bike. It has brand new tires and tubes, rand new battery, nd stator replacement. I also cleaned the carb and put a new kit in it. I installed new single fire ignition system to reduce the vibration.
In sturgis, broke a shifter spring, nd got robbed by mechanic, hich left me with a transmission noise. On return home, bought a remanfactured transmission. The internals are from a lo mile 2006 Dyna, nstalled into a brand new rev tech softail case. The tranny works very well, mooth shifting with positive feel Much better than the original 92 setup.
All fluids have been changed several times, nd are now spotless.
I have the original heritage saddle bags, ncluded with the bike, ut they are warped pretty badly. I have some new aftermarket bags on the bike now, hey are huge for the sturgis trip.
Bike runs very well, ith only low vibration typical to the solid mount evo motors. It will cruise all day at 70-80 mph. No leaks, othing falls off the bike.
New windshield, ut I used some ouble sided tape to stick on a gps. It should clean up with a little effort if it is important to you.
There are some blemishes on the paint under the seat, nd under the rear turn signal mounting points, here the guy before me ran it with loose bolts. Over all, he pain is excelelnt. Very nice color, nd you get a lot of comments about how pretty the bike is.
Prior owner put a stage 1 jet kit and straight pipes on the bike, ut it was far too lound for me. I acquired some new stock take offs, nd punched out the baffles. Bike is quiet enough to not get a ticket now, ut still has a deep sound. Of course pipes are always changed to owner preferences.
You can drive the bike anywhere. I put 1500 miles on it in 4 days, ith no problems at all. Does not burn oil, nd gets about 50 mpg on the highway. Compression is good and even in both cylinders.
Brakes, nd belt are in good condition, ou have a lot of miles left on it. I do have the original 5 speed transmission I have had repaired for additional cost if you want it.
Clear California title, nd registration is good till feburary.
I have no way of shipping the bike, ut uship is a good service, nd I will be happy to help with any shipper you chose. It is possible you could fly in, nd I will pick you up if you wanted to drive bike home. Have to contact me about that.
Anyway, ere is a low milage, ood running harley for a decent price. It needs nothing other than what you would like to customise it with.
Included is a gel pack seat pad, reat for long rides.
Sturgis is over, n item on my bucket list is complete, nd I need money for recent medical bills, r I would not sell it at all. Hard to find a bike in this good of a condition for a reasonable price.
