Harley Davidson Sportster XL 883

Bought this Sporty this past summer for a Winter project.It is a 883XL with less than 4500 (est) miles on the bike...it had right at 2900 when I bought it.I used the speedometer and turn signals on another project ...so they are missing. The bike had set so long ...I cleaned the carb,replaced the rectifier,battery, nd did a complete service.Here are the other parts that have been added..old school cobra style seat,late model 21" front wheel,Biltwell Frisco bars,custom air cleaner,chrome forward controls,fork boots,black rear shocks and modified stock exhaust(center cross pipe removed and 3" cut from mufflers. The tank is a early model peanut. Last of the EVO rigid, ight framed, rap door Sportsters.It would make a great little hot rod project or ride as is.Paint is not perfect ...but good ...no major flaws. Bike is set up to ride very stiff, ith lower rear shocks and spacers add to the front forks to reduce travel for the short boots.Bike runs fine for 883 ....shifts a little soft ...but ...that's this model.I ride it almost every day ....3 miles to the coffee shop and back...No problems.
