1997 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide 10,078 Miles, Great Shape

Up for sale is a 1997 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Standard (FLHT) with very low miles (10. 78). in great shape and with a host of accessories. I purchased it from Bartell’s H-D in 2013 with only 4. 00 miles on it. and believe I am the 2nd owner. The only reason for selling is because I will be using the money to fund another motorcycle purchase. This bike has been very well cared for and features the following. This bike is in really great shape. When I purchased it (and since then) I completely detailed it from top to bottom. and it is as clean as a brand new bike. which you will see upon closer inspection. There are a few spots where the engine’s metal shows it age. but nearly all areas of the bike. including the paint. are in very good condition. The throttle and clutch operate butter smooth. which for me was very important when I bought it (many big twins have stiff clutches and lazy throttles. not this one). The seat has no scratches. nor do the saddlebags. and almost every area of the bike belies it years. as it should be since it only has 9. 72 miles on it. This bike starts every time. runs like a top and has never let me down. It sounds awesome with the side turnout pipes. which I have found are pretty rare. I also have a set of nearly new stock pipes that can be installed if you want the bike to be quieter. All lights and controls work. I have never adjusted the belt drive as it never needed adjustment. I changed the oil every 2. 00 – 3. 00 miles. With the jet kit the bike runs great. as it has a less restrictive air cleaner and exhaust. which also gives it a nice power boost. I just installed the Biketronics Sony audio set-up which sounds great and can easily be heard even while on the freeway. With the Aux Input you can listen to your iPod or even Bluetooth Audio (iPod and mount shown in photos not included in sale. but can be separately purchased if desired). The detachable passenger backrest can be installed or removed within seconds (backrest pad not shown in photos). If you have never owned a Harley with saddlebags. you will find they can be removed in seconds without any tools. The only items I have removed are the gas gauge (which I found provided a very unreliable reading). and the saddlebag guards. as I preferred the look without them (I installed a saddlebag guard eliminator). The bike comes complete with an Owner’s Manual and two keys. California license is paid for through November. 2015. I have title free and clear. Bike is extremely clean and shows very well. Not a drop of oil to be found anywhere on it. Needs no maintenance. no cosmetic work. nothing. just start it up and go! Bike is being sold as is. with no factory or seller warranty included.
