Description |

For sale is a Harley Davidson 1956 FLH Motorcycle. To the best of my knowledge it is original except for paint, ires and battery. The engine has matching belly numbers, oth 156-5105. This is the featured bike on pages 70-74 of Greg Field's book, Original Harley DavidsonPanhead 1948-1965."
The bike has its original motor, ransmission and exhaust system, ncluding header pipes, pipe, pipe and low tone muffler. It has original passing lamps with correct bar mounted switch, hich turns off the headlight when the passing lamps are on. It has the correct first year screw on air cleaner with framed instructions, arly horn bracket, arly non-splined shifter and extremely rare one-year-only NOS 1956 removable Speed King saddlebags. The bike also includes the complete original tool kit. The original 1956 license plate and frame are not included but may be purchased separately.
I put about 6200 miles onthe bike since the motor was rebuilt and sheet metal repainted at Kokesh Motorcycles in Spring Lake Park, N. Oil was changed and all filters cleaned or replaced at frequent intervals the first thousand miles and then every 1,000 miles or 6 months thereafter. The bike starts easily, perates smoothly and is a pleasure to ride.
The reason the bike is for sale is the needto buy a house. Otherwise, would never part with it.
Please ask all questions and inspectthe bike in person if you'd like priorto the end of auction. By bidding on this bike buyer agrees that sale of this bike will be final, hat the bike is sold as is and without any guarantees or warranty. Payment must be either in cash, ashiers check or wire transfer paid in full within 7 calendar days of auction ending. Otherwise, he salewill be null and void. I can store the bike as necessary until the buyer arranges transport.
