1995 Harley Davidson Sportster Street Tracker (XLR) 1200CC

This is a one of a kind Street Track I build from a brand new 1995 Sportster 883 in 2001. It had 2000 miles on the speedo, t was my wifes bike. I wanted to build it right, grew up around Harleys and racing and wanted to bring all of those elements into my finished bike. The biggy is the right rear wheel. There are plentyof street trackers with that big fat ugly 16" wheelon the back. It just aint right. Harley used an 18" rear disc on two bikes. The 77/78 café, nd the 1979 Sportster. The sprocket holes were also bored out to look more like the originalHarley dished sprockets and Barnes of the time. The bikesaluminumhas a sandblasted finish like the XR, as Buell Heads and Pistons to match. Supertrapp Flattrack Exhaust. K&N Aircleaner similar to those used on the KR's. Added genuine HD dual disc setup. Flanders #10 Flattrack bars, pecial made autometer speedo (white face black ring) Dunlop K180 Dirttrack tires (no longer avalible) Storz Rear Sets ( they were no longer avalible and Steve at Storz made a set happen). Also, made the tank badge to look like those used on all the old Road Race twins. Lastly the paint, heXLR is my idea incorporating the Harley "R" model decal seen on manyrace bikes. And the name from one of my favorite Harleys ever made. THE XLR.

Had it in one show and won First Place in Competition Class. Everybody loves it.
