This is an original 1969 Harley-Davidson XLCH Sportster. This is the last year for the magneto ignition XLCH. This is a highly sought after model in this all original condition.
The bike still has its original Sparkling Gold paint which is a very rare color. The paint is in great shape. There are two very small dings on the rear fender underneath the seat back rest. The only thing I can see that has been changed is the outer primary cover is smooth instead of ribbed. The bike has aluminum wheels and original Goodyear tires. It also has its original seat, xhaust and tillotson carb - all the hard to find parts that were commonly changed. The bike recently had a new top end rebuild, arb rebuild and magneto rebuild. The bike fires right up and runs great. I just rode the bike for the first time in a few years and it runs strong and feels fresh but the clutch is slipping a little. It will need to be cleaned and adjusted, ust maintenance.
All numbers match. Pictures speak for themselves. You wont find another early XLCH as original as this.
More detailed pictures available. Text me your email address and I can send them. Feel free to give me a call and discuss the bike further or come see it in person.
