Hello. and thanks for looking at our auction. Up for bid is/was a 2005 Softail Deluxe. nbsp; that is now a Hardtail Bobber. This bike was completely transformed over a few weeks to become what it is today. The bike transformation has been captured in pictures. so the potential new owner can see the work that was put into the bike. The bike was a fully functional Deluxe. it was purchased at a local dealer for the sole purpose of bobbing it. It was never wrecked. or dropped. I wanted a Hardtail. but I wanted to keep it Harley. and I did not want to devalue it by having a non- matching numbers bike. This bike has a clear title. it is not special construction. During the build while the motor was out it was freshened up with new rings. gaskets and seals. (88ci) The frame was sandblasted and color matched to the tins with House of Kolor Bronze firemist metallic urethane. with three coats of ultra wet look clear. The fenders were both custom built. The rear fender is now integral to the frame. The front fender was built using the original side braces. The front fork is a 2” over . with 3 more degrees of rake. putting the front at 5 degrees. The bars are 16” narrow apes with stock controls. The exhaust is LAF. yeah its loud and proud! The front and rear tires are whitewalls. and in good shape. enough for another riding season. unless of course you are addicted to burnout pits. The battery is a glass mat. new last year. the battery box is now where the softail shocks used to be. The fuel tank and pump are from a Harley 48. it’s a peanut. around 2 gallons of fuel. No fuel gauge. fill it before you go! It was kind of geared towards Jack Daniels. it has the seat. ignition cover. derby cover. and axle caps all by JD. I was not sure what I wanted as far as pinstripes. no stripes etc. I bought a quality decal set and installed. I figured if I liked them I would break the bike down in the winter and scuff and re-clear over them. I never got around to it. so if you like them keep them. if you don’t. peel them off. If you are local and saw this you will remember it having a suicide shift. I love em. can’t ride without them. I pulled it off figuring most people would not be comfortable with a suicide shift. There is a speedometer. it does not work. I purchased and installed it. the manufacturer said it would not work on the bike. and they were correct. it doesn’t. the bike has around 24. 00 on it. around 2k after the build. My wife and I ride together. and that’s how I tracked fuel and miles for service. It has all Mobil synthetics in it and will be due for a change in 3k more miles. There is no key switch. yes you can secure the bike. I will disclose that only to the new owner. I guess the last thing is why did I do it? I wanted a really cool scoot that was fast. light. looked old school but was dependable without screwing around with a carb and choke. or worrying about it breaking down. I often have people thinking its from the 60’s or 70’s. I whip out before pics and they are amazed. Yes it has won a few shows too. I built a new springer. so its time for this one to roll. No reserve. high bidder wins. No warranty expressed or implied. I will not ship. $500. 00 deposit in Paypal in 24 hours. the rest cash when you pick it up in 15 days or less.
