I am the second owner. I purchased this bike in July 2004 with 6. 87 miles on it and this bike has been adult owned. driven. and meticulously maintained. It is an Electra Glide Classic so I added lower vented fairings and the drivers’ seat has a Pro Pad jell pad insert sewn into the seat for long distance comfort. The factory 88ci engine was weak in power and pathetic in fuel mileage so I had a HD dealership install a 95 inch kit of jugs and pistons only. no head work. Like most owners of the early 88’s the cam chain tensioners didn’t last so I had a HD dealership install S&S 510G cams. These are gear driven cams so no more chains or chain tensioners to ruin your ride. The dyno after this work was Max Power = 81. 99 hp and Max Torque = 102. 98 ft-lbs. The benefit from this was no more downshifting to pass and 10 more mpg. I have used Royal Purple full synthetics Max Cycle SAE20w50 in the engine and Royal Purple SAE Max-Lub75w90 in the transmission for the last 40K miles. Work performed in the past 2 years: · Installed HogTunes amp and speakers · Painted inner fairing to match tins · Installed chrome lower legs and new cow bells · Installed new ignition coil · Installed new Rinehart 3 ½’ mufflers · Installed WheelDock EZ-UP chrome center stand · Installed new performance clutch plates (same plates used on police bikes) · Installed new 45 amp stator · Front & rear tires Dunlop Elite 3 · Big Crank ETX30L Sealed. Maintenance-Free. 400CCA (last March) None of these parts showed evidence of failure. I replace parts by time based maintenance because I don’t do breakdowns. The overall appearance of the bike is very good. but from its age it does have blemishes in the factory paint. The mechanical upgrades were chosen for durability and reliability. I would leave home on this bike any time for any distance with full confidence in it mechanically. The only issue with the bike I am aware of is the CD unit in the factory AM-FM/CD/Weather Band radio. It will play a CD when it engine is not running. but the CD will skip when the bike is in motion. I never used the CD unit because I had satellite radio. Reason for selling is to downsize and thinning the herd. Buyer will be responsible for pick up or delivery arrangements and all fees involved!
