My 1982 Honda Silverwing Interstate is the perfect SMALLER alternative to a Goldwing. Perfect for the smaller rider or woman rider. It's also known as a GL500. These bikes are pretty rare at this point. What also makes this 1982 Honda Silverwing Interstate even better is it has only 14988 original miles at the time of this posting. This on a drivetrain that turned out to be almost a bulletproof engine. This is a 33 year old bike. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. The paint is reasonable for the year. It's a little faded although the gauges show no such sign. Silver is always prone to fading. But as you can tell from the seat condition. guages. etc. . nbsp;it spent very little if any time sitting in the sun. It was always garaged. It can be polished out to look a lot better but if you want to make the bike pristine. a new paint job is probably in order. And this bike is worth the investment. The bike is also totally complete. I think the only thing it's missing is the honda logo on the back of the tourpack currently mounted on the bike. I have an extra seat and passenger seat backs for different arrangements as well as a larger rear tour pack. all factory original parts for this bike. And I have an extra rear tourpack like the one already on the bike. Add to that extra front forks and a complete rear drive shaft/swing arm assembly. These parts are worth a bunch. nbsp;it will offset a big percentage of your purchase price should you elect to sell these extremely rare pieces. Everything works with the exception of the extra small running lights in the front. They are functional. however the on off switch for the pair is broken and would need to be replaced. An easy fix. Even the old radio works :) The bike runs out great and idles smooth once warm. The tires have some good tread but they are old and I would suggest that if you're going to do any good amount of riding that they be replaced. The bags have some stresscracks which show in the next picture. Nothing is falling off but if you want the bike to be perfect. these would be repaired when the paint it being redone. The bike is quite useable as is although as I said. for safety purposes I would consider replacing the tires before embarking on a long trip. This is definitely a cool ride down Memory Lane. There is probably close to $1000 in extra parts. maybe more. It will all come with the bike no extra charge. Just be sure to arrange with your shipper to pick it up at thetime of picking up the bike as I will not be mailing these parts. I want to make comment on my 83. 3% feedback rating. On February 28. 2015. I had a 100% feedback rating with 368 positive feedbacks. I haven'tdone much business yet in 2015 so 1 negative feedback has a HUGE IMPACT on whatthe percentage shows. Think about it. 1 negative feedback on 368 total would haveabout 2/10's of 1% if being based on the total number. That's It. All of my previousfeedbacks were positive. Many of those feedbacks were glowing feedbacks from people that bought motorcyclesfrom me on eBay. Check it out for yourselves. Just click on the 368 next to my user name. The particular buyer who bought my Victory Vision kept asking me if it was perfect and Ikept telling him "No. it's not perfect. It has been ridden so there are scratches here and there. But it's in very good condition overall". WHICH IT WAS. Even the shipper statement showedminimal scratches. etc during their inspection prior to picking up. I wish I had never done businesswith this buyer. He was so nervous that the bike wouldn't be perfect and I even told him that if hewas that nervous. he shouldn't buy a bike sight unseen. And again. I reiterated that the bike WASN'T PERFECT but it was in very good condition overall. In retrospect. I should have seen thiscoming and avoided this transaction with him. But I am very frustrated that the years it took to develop my excellent reputation as a buyer andseller on eBay now looks bad due to one ridiculous buyer. So please take the time to click on myfeedback number and see for yourselves what I'm talking about. Thanks. The bike is in El Paso. TX. If a check is to be used for payment. please be aware that there will need to be enough time for the check to properly clearmy bank before the bike and title are released. Money can be directly depositedinto my Wells Fargo account if you have a Wells Fargo Bank in your area. Bidders with less than a 5 feedback should call me prior to bidding or yourbids can and probably will be removed without notice. The bike is alsobeing sold locally so I reserve the right to cancel the auction at anytime. However. if the reserve is met I will not close the auction and the winning bidderwill buy the bike. I will sell to Mexican and Canadian buyers. However. I am not an importer andnot really familiar with what's involved. I will supply clear title and bill of sale. THAT'S IT. I am having a major surgery done tomorrow 03/31/15 and it may be difficult toanswer any questions for a couple of days. So please be patient with me. I willtry to answer any and all questions.
