IN 1979. HONDA DECIDED TO SHOW THE WORLD THAT IT WAS THE BIGGEST. BADDEST MOTORCYCLE MANUFACTURER IN THE WORLD. THEY BUILT THE CBX. A 6-. CYLYNDER HIGH REVVING MASTERPIECE THAT WAS FASTER THAN ANY OTHER MOTORCYCLE EVER BUILT. TODAY. THE MOST SOUGHT-AFTER CBX IS THE RUBY RED VERSION. EQUIPPED WITH THE EUROPEAN KIT WHICH BROUGHT THE PEGS BACK AN INCH AND LOWERED THE HANDLEBARS. I HAVE OWNED THIS CBX FOR MANY YEARS AND KEPT IT WELL MAINTAINED. IT IS ENTIRELY STOCK EXCEPT FOR NEW TIRES AND THE KERKER EXHAUST. AT EIGHT THOUSAND RPM'S. IT MAKES A SOUND LIKE NO OTHER MOTORCYCLE I HAVE RIDDEN. IT IS THE NICEST CBX I HAVE PERSONALLY SEEN ALTHOUGH I HAVE SEEN A PHOTO OF A FULLY RESTORED BIKE AT A JAPANESE VINTAGE CLUB SHOW. I HAVE A CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE AND REGISTRATION. On Apr-02-15 at 20:39:34 PDT. seller added the following information:CORRECTION: THE EXHAUST PIPE IS A DG AND NOT A KERKER. On Apr-03-15 at 20:27:50 PDT. seller added the following information:I WAS ABLE TO FIND AND SPEAK WITH A PREVIOUS OWNER. HE TOLD ME THAT IN 1987 HIS BELT BUCKLE SCRATCHED THE TANK. 6 MONTHS LATER HE HAD IT PAINTED. UNTIL A BIDDER ASKED I HAD NO REASON TO THINK IT WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL TANK PAINT. IN ANY EVENT THE TANK IS A PERFECT MATCH TO THE TAIL SECTION WHICH IS STOCK. I CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE NOR DO I THINK ANYONE ELSE CAN.
