1983 Honda Goldwing Aspencade

1983 Honda Goldwing Aspencade. has new tires with less than 100 mi. wheel bearings. brakes serviced with brake fluid flush and fill and some brake lines replaced. Engine and diff oils change with Honda oil and filter. New battery and newer plugs. Has a digital dash. radio. cb. intercom and everything works. Carbs "cough" some under load and could probably use a good cleaning. just haven't gotten to it yet. Bike had sit for several years before I got it. I've mainly been addressing mechanical items. Still needs a good cleaning and polishing. Paint is old and has wear/shows its age as does the chrome with some peeling and so forth. Holes in the top of the backrest pad. Was getting it into riding condition. but just have to many project going at once. Reserve is set at less than I actually have in this bike. Just looking to free the money up to finish some of my other projects. I'm sure there will be other small repairs and things needing addressed. but the larger more expensive items have already been taken care of. On Apr-06-15 at 18:08:13 PDT. seller added the following information:I've been asked a couple time about the suspension and operating temp. Figured I'd just update the auction for all to see as well. The bike is equipped with the air ride suspension and it is fully functional. both the forks and the shocks air up fine. using the on board air compressor. everything with the air suspension functions as it should. The engine temp stay with in 1/2 -3/4 of the digital gauge even when sitting still running in the garage. Cooling fans kick on and cool the bike then shut off as normal. nbsp; everything operates correctly with the cooling system as it should. The bike starts up and runs fine. though it is a little cold natured until it warms up. Only thing I would address immediatly before riding this bike regularly would be clean the carbs and re-bleed the rear brakes or do a little more work with them. pedal seems to travel a little further then id like.
