1983 Honda Magna V-65. Once they figured out guys were getting hurt on these things (widow-maker) they dialed the following models down. Google it. This is a black and chrome sledgehammer. Super strong bike. Brand new tires with less than 20 miles on them. No dents on the tank. only one very tiny dent on the muffler from the kickstand. About the bike: One of the pilot adjustment screws was a bit unresponsive (cylinder #2) which meant the carb wasnt fueling totally during idle. cleaned the starter and the pilot circuit. Fuel tank has been cleaned. treated. and will be full of 92 octane upon your arrival for pick up. ( Ethanol is claimed to be very hard on the older bike models). Currently has Sea Foam in it. and after running a tank or two through it. the idle adjustment thumb wheel should be adjusted. Easy location on the left hand side. just below the carb bank ( I'll show you where it is ). Pulled out the whole bank. plit it. nd completely disassembled each carb. Soaked the in Berryman's carb cleaner. Blew out all the jets and housing passages. Checked float heights. all okay. except #1 was at 9 mm. reset to spec @ 6mm. Bowls have never been off factory RTV still inside indicating that they carbs have never been completely disassembled in the past. Coolant flushed. Battery fluid topped off. charged. and has been on a battery tender and have reciept for new battery last year. Added DOT4 to clutch m/c and rear brake reservoir. Replaced fork seals. dust seals. retaining ring. and filled to specs with oil and air. Shocks were also inspected and charged. Engine cooling fan operates within specs. (complete notes will accompany the sale. along with sales receipts for materials and all OEM parts) New air filter. fuel filter. and new fuel line between aux tank and fuel filter. Replaced speedometer cable. was making a faint clicking noise. sprayed it and it got better but wasn't happy so just got a new one. Chrome was cleaned and the bike was waxed. The bike had fat foam grips. didn't like them so I bought the original grips that originally came with the bike. and now they're on it. Let my mechanical engineer keep the old one's. so they do not come with the bike. Carb fueling. throttle response and load acceptance response is clean. no idle stutters and no staling at throttle clearance. A used windshield was put on. but it's a very nice one. and consistent with it's age. The bike was in very good condition and had no leaks or mechanical issues before I decided to get it tweeked. and the same is still true. This particular motorcycle is in peak operational condition. Peace of mind offered by the accompaning doccumentations as shown in the photos. I found a 1983 V-65 owners manual. bought it. and and stored it on the bike. There is a memory stick with photos of the process the bike went through and a copy of the online manual with the factory specs. diagrams. photos. etc. Bike has 21. 885 ORIGINAL miles. A few of the pictures were taken when the foamy grips were on it. I took new photos to show the new ones. please don't be confused. Motorcycle must be picked up within 2 weeks of the end of the auction. Thanks and good luck. ** The bike was COMPLETELY gone over. I am just hitting the high-lites. nbsp;
