Description

1973 CB750 (with ORIGINAL PAINT) Complete "FRAME OFF" restoration. THE GOOD--The frame. battery n tool boxes. both kick stands etc. have all been sandblasted and powder coated (not painted) This is why the "VIN" plate looks kind off ruffled. it was taped off and NOT removed from frame during the process. New Honda "DID" FRONT/REAR WHEELS and NEW spokes. wrapped in "Metzeler Perfect" front and rear tires. The front FORKS have been completely rebuilt with new FORK SEALS and internal fork parts. NEW FORK OIL CAPS. NEW--GATOR BOOTS. FORK EARS. HANDLEBARS. MIRRORS. both right and left NEW CONTROL SWITCHES. New WIRE HARNESS. FLASHER and TURN SIGNAL BUZZER. NEW TURN SIGNALS AND STEMS (all 4). NEW SPEEDO and TACH DIAL FACES. ALL other electronics were cleaned like new (and polished if called for) IGN coils cleaned. also the coil mount brackets were polished. I REBUILT the the front BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER and CALIPER and installed new lower Brake Hose and new master cylinder "BOOT" also has New Rear Brake shoes. NEW Clutch and Speedo cables (other cables were in very good shape so i cleaned and lubed them internally. The CARBURETORS were "PROFESSIONALLY" rebuilt. polished and coated by "CARBURETORKEITH" You can see his work and pics on ebay. Look closely at the pics because EVERY (i mean every) nut. bolt. washer and screw. some brackets or spring used on this bike have been polished to a CHROME finish. even the rear brake rod and hub stay/bar. If it couldn't be polished then it was replaced with a new OEM chrome one. I have spent many many hours POLISHING ALL the aluminum engine covers. oil filter cover. rear brake hub. front wheel hub and any other aluminum part that could be polished. I even cleaned and polished all the tools and got a NEW TOOL BAG. I refurbished the complete SEAT. replaced SEAT COVER maintaining the original strap (I don't like the looks of the aftermarket straps/buckles). OWNERS Manual (with wire schematic fold out) and NEW plastic manual bag. I replaced all the original DECALS. ALL the Front Fender rubber inserts. brace spacers and bolts are new/OEM. Matter of fact almost every piece of rubber on this bike is new. New GOLD "O" ring chain. NEW PETCOCK and NO rust in gas tank/very clean inside etc. etc etc. STEEL BRAIDED OIL LINES BRAND NEW (fresh out of box) OEM/HONDA "STAMPED" EXHAUST system and Hardware (NOT Generic). EVERYTHING on this bike operates just like it did when new. It drives Like new!! THE ENGINE----The motor is a 1976 750 SS that I purchased yrs ago from a wrecked (got hit in the rear) 4. 00 mile CB750 SS. The original engine that came with my 73 was "Shelled" and not cost effective to repair. I have replaced shift cover. generator cover. "inner" clutch cover and oil pan gaskets. I cleared out the oil passages then new oil filter and oil. when i started the engine for the first time it fired on the first touch of starter. I let it warm up and then I drained all the oil. dropped oil pan again (just to check). replaced oil pan gasket again. installed 2nd new oil filter and oil and new air filter. I then started engine again and SYNC'd the carbs with a new set of vacuum gauges (which i will be listing on ebay). It runs like a "scalded ape" and shifts perfectly!!! This is a BEAUTIFUL example of an early model CB750 and no doubt a future AWARD winner if ever in a bike show. I thot it was best to maintain the ORIGINAL PAINT. This is a near 43 yr old time capsule with ORIGINAL PAINT. The few paint defects are all that holds this back from being a PERFECT RESTORED CB750. It will be up to the next owner to decide on repaint or not THE NOT As GOOD:small ripple in front fender (hard to see). small crack in left "side" cover (been repaired with body shop epoxy and lightly touched up. gas tank has 2 or 3 teeny rock chips. a "touched up" scratch on right side tank decal and 1 very small dent (like poked with a ball point pen) on top of tank towards the back. light paint fade on upper tank (again hard to notice/see) and typical paint rub off where seat closes against the rear of tank. All of these things I have shown in the many many pictures. I have over 300 pictures of this RESTORATION so If you need different pics in a different light or angle just ask me and I will take them and send to you. REMEMBER. this is a 42 yr old motorcycle with original "orange sun flake" paint with a few imperfections but still in awesome condition. CLEAN OKLAHOMA TITLE (in my name). I purchased this basket case with just a "Bill of Sale". So I went thru all the hassle of getting a "Court Order". then a bunch of paper work. then the Oklahoma Tax Commission and finally receiving all the documents that were needed to finally get a Title and Tag. That alone should be added value to this bike because there will be no HASSLE for the new owner in a title transfer to his/her state. Unlike other bikes on ebay that are sold with just a "bill of sale" If you do not have at least 30 feedbacks you must first contact me before bidding. ALL bidders. please ask any and all questions you may have before bidding and I will answer promptly. All shipping cost is at the winning bidders expense. I will help in anyway possible. I recommend using "Forward Air" and am willing to take the bike as far as okc. ok for shipping.
