Description

This bike is recently on the market due to illness of the original owner. The owner of this bike purchased it new and the title shows it to be a 1973 but the data plate shows it to be a 1972 being built in August of 1972. Mileage is a low 9900 original. The bike was moth balled several years ago with the carbs being drained. I put some fresh gas to it and it fired right up and rain like new. Everything works on the bike. Runs great. starts. stops everything as it should. Compression is high on all four cylinders after sitting for years pre starting was 135. 140. 135. 132. It has some newer dunlops tires on it with great tread and no sign of aging so it is ready to go. It is in amazingly good condition. The chrome is overall very nice and bright with some hard to notice pitting here and there. The paint is near new outside of a couple of scratches that could be nicely blended in by someone skilled with a paint brush and color. No dents repeat no dents in the gas tank. There is some glakky stuff in the fuel tank but it isn't rust and it's on top of the fuel tank liner. The goop in the tank appears to be some old fuel residue. I dumped the gas out of the tank and it seemed a little old. The tank does seem clean enough to use as is but a good rinsing might not hurt either. Also the tank does not leak or show signs of ever leaking. The liner was installed as a reaction to some internal rusting. I ran this bike with a different fuel tank. The engine finish is something to write home about-real nice. This bike probably could be ridden home from here to where ever. Please email with questions or call me at 92O-2O5-OO13. Eric
