Honda XL75 1977 Street Legal Version Excellent Condition in Ohio

THIS MOTORCYCLE DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE IT WILL BE SOLD WITH A BILL OF SALE NO IT ISN'T AN XR. IT IS AN XL. BUT THERE WAS NOT A CATEGORY FOR IT Did you have one as a kid? This is the street legal version. I didn't think I would ever see one of these in this original condition! Most were beaten to death. this one looks a lot it did on the show room floor. This bike is in amazing condition and shows less than 1200 miles on the working speedometer. Re-live your younger days. put this baby in your driveway and listen to its sweet put putting purr Sparkling original red paint and decals. Most of these reds really faded. but not this one!The fenders straight and unbent. Seat is excellent with no rips and the Honda name is clear on the rear section. Original tires that hold proper pressure and track straight. rims shiny and excellent. If you have never seen an exhaust on this bike. it is quite elaborate. Exhaust is beautiful not rusty. sidecovers and decals near perfect. this bike even has its console with key ignition and flashers for the turn signals. All wiring is factory intact. It even has its rubber extender on its sidestand. Everything works but the headlight. It may just be the bulb as everything else electric is working ok. I haven't had a chance to see whether the bulb is burned out. It runs like the day it left the showroom. Starts easily. and runs up to high rpms though the gears smoothly. settles down to a nice idle. Clutch and brake actions work as they should. The carb was taken off. cleaned. blown out. reassembled. I replaced the air filter and changed the oil to the proper period motorcycle oil. It is beautiful. but not a show bike. Yes it has some small scratches and light rust on the undercarriage. It also has Patina that you would expect from a 38 year old motorcycle. However. the only real cosmetic issue is on the left side of the gas tank. it has a shallow dent that is about palm size. There two verticle lines running through that area. but the paint is intact and it didn't mess up the decal. The closeup picture of the left side of the tank has a funny shadow in it. that areas has NOT been repainted. Look at profile picture. It really doesn't detract that much from the looks.
