Description

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION CAREFULLYUp for sale is a very beautiful CB700SC that was won on the CBS television show "The Price is Right" in 1987. You will not find a cleaner unmolested bike that has been loved as much as this one has. The original owners sister-in-law won the bike in 1987. but since she didn't know how to ride a motorcycle. sold it to my friend who owned it since the bike was Brand-New. about 28 years. Several months ago he realized he had not ridden the bike in many years. and decided it was time to let someone else enjoy it. Knowing the history on the bike. I offered to buy it from him and promised to get it running again. The bike had been METICULOUSLY maintained it's entire life and comes with a folder over 1" thick full with every receipt since the bike was picked up new in 1987. INCLUDING a receipt from CBS/dealership saying "CBS Contestant Deposit" If I remember correctly the winners on the show still had to pay the Taxes on the bike. even though they got it for free. I also have the receipt dating back to 1987 the first 600 mile service!!! I have not added it up. but there are thousands of dollars worth of receipts. I have owned a lot of motorcycles over the years. but have never had one with such a perfect track record/paper trail. Now lets get to the details of the bike. The bike runs great. but you need to have it inspected by a certified mechanic. before riding it. The bike is almost 30 years old and I take no responsibility for anything that happens once the bike is in your possession. I have only put about 20 miles on the bike since I got it running again. and apart from one random backfire. it has run flawlessly. I ran it on the highway at about 70mph. and while accelerating I got the bike up to 10k-rpm and it felt and sounded great. The bike is extremely smooth. and a real pleasure to ride. While idling a little bit of white smoke comes out of the pipes. but my mechanic thinks its probably from sitting for so long and will go away over time. Most of my bikes are Pre-1980. and for comparison the CB700SC feels like a Cadillac. and the rest of my bikes feel like you are riding a horse bareback. Yes i am exaggerating but you get the point. Paint on the bike most of the bike is 9. 8/10 I took lots of photos to show how nice it is. I honestly can't believe how good it looks especially for a bike that has been ridden 19k miles. The only better condition one you will find will be a garage queen that has never been on the road before. The rear turn signals were both broken when i got them from the bike being moved in and out of the garage. but they have both been fixed. and work perfectly. Unless looking closely you can't tell. so its up to you if you want to replace them. I only gave the bike a quick wipe down and it still looks almost new. If you leave the petcock on over night you will get a teeny-tiny puddle of gas on the floor. but if you turn it off (like you are supposed to) then you will have a perfectly clean floor. I haven't replaced the battery. and have kept it on a trickle charger to start the bike. and unless you enjoy push starting it you should probably buy a new battery. All lights and gauges work perfectly. which I tried to show in my video. Sorry that the riding Video is separated into 3 different clips. my friend misunderstood what I said. Walk around of bike idling Bike taking off. ride by. and coming to a stop I think that is everything. Feel free to ask me any questions. or let me know if you want to come see the bike. You are responsible for picking up the bike or figuring out shipping. I will do my best to help any way I can. ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE ASKED BEFORE YOU BID!!!I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction ending. Remember. YOU are responsible for having the bike safety inspected before riding it.
