This auction for is for a Honda CB350 Bobber. It is titled with the number on the 1973 frame and the Michigan title is clean and clear. This is a NO-Reserve Auction so the winning bidder will win this bike.
It has a 1971 CL350 engine. When I pulled this engine from a running CL parts bike it had 6000 miles on it.The frame for this bike is a 1973 CB 350 that was made into a hard tail by a former Nascar welder. The mufflers are from a Triumph. The battery is a brand new gel battery that is designed to start Harley's so it has plenty of power to start the CB350.The seat is a brand new Biltwell. This bike does not have a speedometer or tachometer - it does have a cool rotating die that spins wherethe tach cable would go :)It's also got new sprockets and chain. New clutch cable. Carbs cleaned for this season. This bike does not have a keyed ignition - a simple flick of an LED switch near the carbs turns the lights and ignition system on.
This bike is kick start only but it starts on the first kick. You can watch a video of me starting it here... http://youtu.be/yvqb6m_dDSg
Included with the bike is an extra gas tank and a mostly complete extra parts engine. (The parts engine needs new pistons, hich is why I swapped it out, ut most everything else is there.)
I pulled the listing earlier to update it: I have taken this bike for rides the past two evenings. It gets lots of look as it's a one of a kind bike. Because it is 44 years old, t developed a small oil leak from inside the clutch case. I did some research and what it needs is an oil seal - an inexpensive part that can be replaced from outside of the motor. I am selling this bike because I've got some summer travel plans and could use a little extra dough. I paid $2400 for this bike and am just looking to recoup some of what I laid out for it.
The bike is located in Sterling Heights, ichigan. I recently worked with a shipper that someone else arranged through U-ship. The process was painless on my end.The shipper arranged a pick up time, gave him the bike and he took care of the rest. I won't crate or deliver the bike, ut if you find a shipper who is as easy to work with as U-ship that will work for me.
