All Original 1965 Honda CL72 250 Scrambler Barn Find Survivor
Here we have for sale a gorgeous, ll original 1965 Honda CL72 250 Scrambler motorcycle. This is an all original and untouched bike that has been sitting idle for almost 20 years. The bike is all complete and it even has the original keys and the original tool kit with the canvas bag intact in the tool box. The bike is a classic vintage 60's Honda that has everlasting style and touch that bikes today just don't have. The bike still has its original aluminum fenders that are perfect. They are straight and have their original paint on them. The original silver paint is patina'd ever so nicely that only time could creat. The chrome too, hile shiny, as patina on it and looks awesome. The bike is a survivor that shows so much character, estored bikes are boring, hey are only original once. The pipes on the bike are straight and solid. They are straight pipes so they bike has a very cool sound! It's loud but it has a classic sound. The engine runs good and fires right up! It's rides nice and has a lot of power for a 250. The transmission and clutch work good and shift through all the gears smoothly. I rebuilt the carburetors and put new kits in them. I also put new intake boots and brand new air cleaners on the bike. I installed a brand new battery and that's all it needed to fire right up after sitting for all these years. The original DID rims are straight and the chrome on them has a patina on it. The rubber on the bike is surprisingly still soft, he fork boots are original and are not ripped or torn. The cables are all in very nice shape on the bike. The controls are all original and straight on the bike, he handlebars are straight, he original levers are straight, he original grips are nice. The headlight bucket is in nice shape with on patina on the paint and on the chrome ring. All of the electrical works on the bike, he headlight, orn, rake light and tail light. The seat on the bike is in great shape for being original, t does have one small tear in it. You can hardly even see where it is. The tires are old Dunlop Universal tires that are cracked and should probably be replaced. That's all I would do with the bike, eep the bike all original like it is but out new era correct tires on the bike. The rear mount on the chain guide cracked. I can get it welded if the new owner would like me to. The gas cap is an NOS original Honda cap. The original tank badges are there the clutch side badge is cracked and a little bit is chipped off of the top. There was a little hole drilled the fork ears and on the clutch perch where turn signals were adapter on the bike but we're not correct so I took them off. I also have some mirrors that look similar to original mirrors but I don't believe are the originals that I can include with the bike. I have an original California title for the bike. I also have a manual that goes with the bike too. This is a wonderful survivor bike that is not perfect but is straight and complete and you don't find original bikes like this that much anymore. Please contact me with any and all questions that you might have before bidding on the Honda. I can store the bike for up to a month while shipping arrangements are made. I have shipping connections from Reno to Southern Calfornia for a couple hundred dollars. Cash, heck or money order are the only acceptable forms of payment. My phone number is 775-830-6760.
