I know November isn’t the month to sell a motorcycle usually but a great deal is a great deal any time of year and riding season will be back very soon. Offered here is an almost perfect condition 2012 NC 700 X with less than 1,300 miles. Actual mileage may vary slightly.That’s right it’s just broken in. In case you are not familiar with this motorcycle it brings many design concepts not offered in other sport tourer bikes. First worth noting is the engine.

The parallel two cylinder engine is a new design concept for Honda Its rumored to be based upon Honda’s Fit 4 cylinder auto engine. What this means is that it is a long stroke high torque engine that contributes to great low end pull.

Combine that with the NC’s fuel injection and Honda always smooth 6 speed overdrive transmission and you have class leading fuel economy.

Many riders report fuel mileage easily in the 60’s and frequently over 70 miles per gallon. This is in a motorcycle that can top out near 120 mph (search youtube) this bike has never gone near triple digits.

Also unique because of the engine design is the locking storage trunk located where you would expect the fuel tank to be. Known affectionately as a “frunk” by NC owners it is large enough to store a full face helmet or most anything you could think to carry as demonstrated in the photos.

This begs the question of where is the fuel tank. Well it is located under the seat and its filler is located under the locking hinged passenger pillion. This design feature helps keep the center of gravity low and makes handling on this motorcycle very easy. It feels much lighter than its’ actual 480 pound wet weight..

You’ll love the very modern digital speedometer with trip meter and the LED tach display. The sporty aggressive styling works very well as an urban commuter, ill venture out of the city and cruise the open highways or with its high clearance and low end power you can actually leave the pavement to explore the roads where nature awaits.
