Description

A lot of people advertise their bikes as "like new" or "low hours" but when you take a good look at them it's clear to see that they've been well used. A close examination of this bike reveals that it really is barely used and in practically new condition.
Yes, have it priced a few hundred dollars more than other CRFs the same age, ut that's dirt cheap compared to buying a worn out one that is due for a $1,500+ engine rebuild, ew tires, ew chain & sprockets, suspensionservice, tc...

I'm the original owner, bought it new and rode it five or six times in the first six months of ownership. By "ride" I mean usually three 15-minute motos at Elsinore. So around four to five hours of running time.
After the first ride I wasn't happy with the suspension so I re-valved and re-sprung both the fork and shock (I have all notes regarding shim stacks, il levels, ftermarket parts, tc.) I'm around 200 pounds and the bike rode way too far down in the travel, allowed around in the whoops, ompressed the suspension on jump faces, ived down too far braking into turns, ottomed out if you over-jumped and landed flat, tc. Basically it sucked stock and it's killer now... now it's firm enough to stay up in the stroke like it should, t soaks everything up, nd isn't harsh at all. My 170 pound friend tried it out for a few laps once, thought he might not like it since he weighed less than me, ut he raved about how good it was and made me do his suspension as well.
I also put on a Pro Circuit clutch cover, two-tooth bigger sprocket, umber plate graphics (although I never raced it), igger footpegs (can't remember the brand... Litespeed, think) and also Fasst Co. Flexx bars. The Flexx bars are awesome, specially if you have an old wrist injury like I do.
Anyway, fter owning the bike for about six months I got divorced and moved and stopped riding MX. I always intended to start riding again one day, ut I got more into mountain biking, ost interest in MX, nd it sat in the corner of the garage for years. Finally, couple years ago (spring of '14) my friend talked me into going riding with him... So I dusted off the bike, hanged the oil, eplaced the pilot jet that had clogged from sitting, nd also put on a new front tire because I remembered not liking the one that came on the bike, nd we went to Milestone MX. It was a lot of fun riding again after all those years, nd I wanted to get back into the sport, ut never seemed to find the time to get back out there again after that. So the bike has been sitting for another couple of years, xcept now I start it every couple of months and ride it up and down my street so that the pilot jet doesn't clog again.
So that's the whole story with the bike. It's in perfect condition; never crashed, o bent radiators, o dented header pipe, o worn-out parts, one of the issues that other "like new" bikes have. It truly is barely used and the suspension is night and day better than stock. Please don't bother offering me a low price, f I can't sell it for a reasonable price then I'd rather just hang on to it and maybe ride it once every couple of years for old times sake. If you have any questions, r would like a close-up photo of a certain part of the bike then don't hesitate to ask.

Payment: Cash if you're local and want to pick up the bike, r cashier's check otherwise. I can accept Paypal, o that you can use your credit card if you'd like, ut only if you pay the 3% service fee.
