Hey all, hanks for looking!
My wife and I are traveling to India to volunteer for a month. Her to finish a rotation for her residency and I will be helping to teach an EMT course (been involved in EMS for 10yrs). I am currently in nursing school and technically she is still in training. This is a fairly expensive trip, o hence the bike is for sale!
The tickets are punched, isas are stamped, eaving on the 17th of Dec. Bike is garaged at a friends house currently. To facilitate pickup I will give his contact info to the winning bidder. He works and has a family but is an easy going guy who will work with you to find a time to get it picked up and prolly even help strap it down, ol.
Help support getting us there and back and exploring where God can use us in our future medical missions endeavors!
With all that said, ow a little about the bike!
Clean KS title, uns great! A few small known issues, houldn't be any problem for any amateur garage gear head.
1 - The biggest hurdle but still small, hile leaving the hospital last week I went to start it, dled funny, ent to adjust choke, revved the throttle and it went slack. Cable isn't broken, he throttle moves freely, ut doesnt' respond. The cable came off of carb, ut the knarp is sill on the cable (not snapped) (maybe throttle body or spring?)
2 - Small chip in paint from left tube reflector hitting gas tank when turning handle bars left. Took the reflector off to prevent further damage to the tank. I have it in a box. See last pic for chip (lower left, ickel sized)
3 - Kill switch - can be sensitive. If not wanting to start, lip down, hen up to on again, hould start fine. Potentially minor corrosion due to being a finicky/old switch
4 - Electric start - works, ut not always. Will crank, ut doesn't always catch, 0% (kick works great)
5 - 5th gear is not living up to it's full potential, on't know why, aybe carbs need cleaned / adjusted? Ran good enough for me but never got to it's top top speed.
6 - small tear (2 inch) in side of seat. Was repaired by PO with liquid electrical tape, an tell if looking for it but hard to see.
7 - Small exhaust leak on left where left header joins 2 to 1.
Like I said, lot of this isn't major, nd not affect most of the riding I did, ust a learning curve for getting used to a 41 year old bike. Is a great little bike, id highway 30 miles to school and back over 1000 miles total and no issue. Approximately 5,400 miles, ast I checked. All original to bike.
Again, itle and key in hand but don't have the space, ime nor can I afford to keep her. Help my baby find a new home!
Check out the youtube video of it here!https://youtu.be/asxdSM9DVRU
