My Lords, adies and Gentlemen, end me your ears! (and give us your money!!)
This bike has been built to fund the Bedlam Werks Motorcycle Co-Op in Athens Ga. All proceeds from this auction will go towards tools, ifts, tc. that will enable local bikers to have a place to work on their bikes, earn from others, nd truly engage with the wonderful community of motorcyclists that all of us enjoy.
Bikes like this don’t come around often, o take advantage while you can!
Fact: Loads of people buildHonda CB’s.
Fact: Most are kinda crappy, ith a few too many corners cut and questionable design decisions made.
However, hen finished to the highest standards with no money, o sweat, nd no tears spared, hey can truly embody the Cafe Racer soul.
This 1976 Honda CB550 is the balls. No if’s, nd’s, r but’s about it.
Built from the ground up, e started with the motor using Wiseco High Compression forged pistons, pping the displacement from 544 to 553.5 and painstakingly reassembled it using NOS parts to keep the original feel of the motor (albeit with far more punch), elocity stacks and custom 4 into 1 exhaust.
We lowered the gearing and lightened the braking with a forged disk and race drilled the rear drum for the best performance possible.
The suspension got a major upgrade with Gazi Sport Lite rear shocks which ride like a dream, nd the front forks were rebuilt with RaceTech performance springs and Gold Valve cartridge emulators.
Other tasty bits to mention are custom dash and gauges, Shorai Lithium battery, ynatech Dyna S ignition, ohm Dyna Ignition coils, ltra bright Halogen Headlight, -Arc 400 lumin signals and brake light, odern reg/rec combo, rand new wiring harness, otogadget electronic control box M unit, urns Stainless Muffler, owder Coated frame and Loaded Gun rearsets.
Phew!
Travis Christopher hand made the custom tank and seat pan from .090” 3003 aluminum to be a one of a kind using styling cues from the 50’s with a modern touch. He brings back the dying craft of real metal work. No bondo here, irls. This is the real deal.
There is ZERO chance of ever seeing a bike that looks just like yours. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope! It’s art that moves you in the most exciting ways.
I want you to feel great about this purchase. Firstly, ou’ll have a “Bedlam Bike” but you’ll also be helping the biker community to foster our sport and passion, nd that Ladies and Gentlemen, ou cannot put a price on.
