1980 Honda Gold Wing Interstate

1980 Honda Goldwing Interstate with only 15. 50 miles. I purchased it in 2011 from the original owners’ son when it had only 5525 miles and a California Sidecar attached. The Goldwing was first built in 1976 and 1980 was the first year of the Interstate which included a full faring. saddle bags. and a trunk. Engine displacement was increased from 1000 to 1100cc’s. Since it had been sitting in his garage for years. I had my mechanic go through the entire bike replacing every hose. clamp. gasket and belt to assure its roadworthiness at a cost of $2495. It has since only required minimal maintenance with regular oil and filter changes. It starts instantly and runs extremely smoothly and is a great cruiser at 60-70 mph. I just recently replaced the water pump and both rear shocks which had begun to leak. The battery was replaced 1/14. This may be one of the most original. lowest mileage first generation Interstates in the country. I have the original owners manual. both sets of keys and all service records since purchased along with the title. This is a 35 year old motorcycle with numerous scratches and defects ( it is not a perfect bike ). It will soon need a rear tire and it fell over on the right side once and the lower faring is cracked. There is no structural damage but it is clearly noticeable. I live in Brookhaven.
