Description

I purchased this about 10 years ago and it had been in storage for 20 or more years at that time. I cleaned it up. purchased various tuneup parts. new tires. new headlamp/speedo shell. etc. My plan was to use it in the northeast "Moto Giro" and it was entered and completed successfully 3 times. The last time it won its class. For those not familiar. nbsp; this is a 2 day on road rally - a great ride of 200+ miles up and down hills and on roads of wildly varying condition. It runs pretty well. but does smoke some and doesn't idle all that well. It comes with the original carb plus the replacement Chinese carb you see on it (seems to run about the same with either carb) . All gears work. but sometimes it is a bit finicky to shift - perhaps normal for something in the 60's. (others have ridden this and hadn't noticed anything wrong with the shifting). I've always liked how it looks and never wanted to paint it. Chrome is ok. but not perfect. Gas tank should probably be cleaned and coated inside. A tab is broken off one of the gray air cleaner covers - you can see the duct tape holding it on. I put a new battery in it this past fall. In NYS. vehicles of this age have a transferable registration and were never issued a title. I have the transferable registration in my name and ready to sign over to you. Honda S90's look great are a lot of fun to ride (especially around town and away from big hill. This will top out at around 50 mph on the flats in 3rd gear. It will also top out at around 50 mph in 4th gear. Choose the sound you prefer! On Mar-23-15 at 15:44:34 PDT. seller added the following information: March 23rd - I've added two additional pictures. First. a full view of the right side of the bike. Second a closeup of the headlamp/speedo area where you will see a small dent in the right headlamp mounting ear / fork cover. I fired it up yesterday for the first time since fall. and it does take a bit to get it going in this cold weather. but it seemed OK once it warmed up. I mentioned that the chrome is just "OK". I do need to add that the front rim does have a few patches of significant rust so you might consider that rim less than OK. Also there are two small chrome rings that the fork gaiters mount to and that chrome is also less than OK. Note the original round Honda tank emblems. These rarely survive (the plastic deteriorates and warps). Mine aren't very good - but one is better than the other. If you decide to replace them with reproductions. you shouldn't throw these out.
