ITEM INFORMATION Frame # MK 20957 Engine # 2038 0675 History Received this bike from a guy who knew I liked old motorcycles. The bike has been on lay-up for over 10 years because it had no spark. I ordered new points and condenser and wala. spark! I changed the oil and added gas and she eagerly fired up and settled into a calm idle. I am a long. long. time member of AHRMA and I have restored many motorcycles. unfortunately none of them have been Huskys. So. I’m not an expert at this particular marque. but I can give you the details of this bike as I know it. The Good: Forks - move freely and have no pitting anywhere. Brakes – front and rear both work. Levers and Controls – Appears to have original Magura brake levers and throttle. Has good quality Terry Cable front brake and clutch cables. Bars are Inter-Am Aluminum. and are straight. Rear brake. shift lever and kicker are original and perfectly straight. Gas Tank – Has original petcock. no leaks. Pipe – 90% straight. some dings at the back (see pics). Frame – Has no damage that can be seen. Footpegs are straight and work great. Carb – Stock Bing. with original airbox. Engine – No leaks at all. No external damage whatsoever. Has incredible compression. starts right up. idles perfectly. shifts through all the gears like butter. has scary power. If I was looking for a Husqvarna race bike. I’d love to find one in this condition as a starting point. this engine sounds so good and feels so smooth I’d run it like it is and build a bike up around it. The Bad: Forks – Need new seals and dust caps. Front and Rear Brakes – feel sloppy and need to be rebuilt. Rims – Mismatched and spokes are dingy. Tank – Has several dings (see pics). Seat – Needs to be re-covered but foam feels firm. Fenders and Number Plates – Needs ‘em. Sprocket Cover – Missing. but no damage from any chain mishaps. Rear Shocks – Needs new ones. these are shot. Frame – Has light surface rust in wear spots and needs repainting. Bike has ridiculously low reserve just to cover my costs. You will need to pick this bike up in Terrebonne (Central Oregon near Bend). if you’re going to the Steel Stampede AHRMA race May 2nd and 3rd at Crooked River Ranch we can deliver the bike to the race.
