1951 Indian street Warrior. One of 860 street Warriors sold in 1951. Original condition with the exception of; wiring harness has been changed with mostly NOS original wiring, and grips incorrect, have original NOS grips to go with the bike, he seat has been re upholstered with non original covering. I can supply an original seat of your choice if desired, on original tires. This bike had 1,454 miles when I bought it seventeen years ago. It starts and runs well and I have been riding it since then. It now has 4,567
miles on the odometer. the speedometer has not been altered during the time that I have owned it and I believe this mileage to be correct because of the mechanical condition of the original parts. I cannot guarantee that the mileage was correct when I purchased but it seemed to be. The bike is in solid mechanical condition and has been a reliable rider. Of course these old bikes always need some fiddling with but is basically mechanically sound.
Cosmetically it is not that pretty. It still has the dirt from the last long ride on a dirt road one year ago. It has no serious rust issues and should clean up fairly well. It had been repainted as original many years ago and the paint is cracking off from the gas tank. I have a set of original correct decals for the tank which will be included. I will not accept less than the starting price because of the rarity of this year bike in mostly original condition.
