1936 Indian Chief

Thisis a mostly original1936 Indian Chief.It has a 1936 motor & frame (non matching numbers but both are 1936 year models). All of the sheet metal is the correct & original for the 1936 year model.I have always believed that the 1935-1939 Indian Chiefs are some of the best looking motorcycles ever made. The 1936 year modelhas streamlined fenders witha deep valance. It has a 6 volt electrical system. This motorcycle was completely stripped down to the bare frame. All parts were bead blasted, leaned and reassembled. The frame & chassis parts have been powder coated black. The motor was completely disassembled, ead blasted, all burnished and reassembled. The crankshaft and motor will need to be rebuilt. This motorcycle has been partially restored.You will need to do some work on this motorcycle before it can be ridden.The wheels are original. This motorcycle was purchased inthe 1990's.I have a California title for this bike. I just changed the name on the title to my name and the DMV will be mailing a new title to me in 1-2 weeks. I have all of the DMV paperwork available. It is not currently registered.

This 1936 Indian Chief will make a great restoration because of the many original parts on it.
