This 1928 Indian Scout model is the immediate predecessor to the famed 101 Scout.Known as the short frame, his was a rear brake only model and was produced for only 3 weeks, aking this a rare and hard to find example. It has the same 37 cubic inchengine used by the 101, hich has been rebuilt and stroked to 42ci (for better performance) using 101 45ci Scout flywheels by master engine builder Doug Burnett.
Highlights include:
• This engine has 0 miles on it
• Transmission gears are all NOS
• Carburetor is the correct Schebler DLX50
• Generator is the correct Splitdorf DU7
• Magneto is the correct Splitdorf S2
• Horn is the correct Klaxon 8C
This restoration started with a very complete example of this rare Scout model. All replacement sheetmetal (fuel tank and rear fender) and parts needed to complete it are either NOS or of the highest quality and workmanship available. The exhaust system is nickel plated. This model is also the first example of Indian using the cross-bolt engine mounting system, hich it employed on all subsequent model lines and production motorcycles through 1953.

I will post a youtube link with the engine running shortly.
