1994 Kawasaki Concours 1000(aka ZG1000)8500 milesVery low mileage. but somewhat rough. sports touring motorycyle. Sad story: The original owner had the bike stolen within a year of buying the bike new. I don't know who really worked him over (dealer or insurance?). but the bike really should have been totalled. $5600 repair bill on an $8000 bike? Really. Anyway. I bought it from him a few years ago. and due to health problems it just sits. The bike needs someone to ride it. Do you want a bike to look pretty? There are plenty of those elsewhere. Do you want a bike to put miles on? This might be the one for you. The bike was stored outside for 18 years by the original owner. There are many scratches and even a crack to show this. The paint is faded and chipped in a few spots. There are even a few bolts and a muffler bracket that show rust. A showpiece this is not. The tires are worn. and need to be replaced before any long trips. It has a fresh oil change. but other fluids should be replaced soon. Several detail upgrades have been made:HeliBar handlebar risersStainless steel braided lines for brake and clutchStainless handlebar weightsSargent seat rebuildThrottle lockThe fairing screws have been replaced with black stainless ones from Murph'sAn extended grip has been added to make it less difficult to get on to the center standTarga windshield was the replacement after a small tree fell on itI have shown the dealer invoice for the repairs that caused the bike to have a salvage title.
