Description

1974 Kawasaki 250cc Enduro Tracker Project Bike Content This auction is for the 250cc. hugger orange. 2 stroke. street legal beast that you see in the 12 pictures. This bike is fully legal to be ridden on the streets and it has a clear Illinois title. It starts right up and revs up just fine. but the bike bogs down badly when accelerating in gear. The bike does have some issues that will need to be addressed before it can be used as a daily driver. I am not real sure what it needs to be fixed. because I had planned on having the entire bike re-built in to a vintage flat track style racer for the street. I have ran out of money while building my 250cc Yamaha café racer bike before this one even got started. so now they both have to go. This is a rare old bike that will make an amazing flat tracker or just tune it up and be riding it around like it is this spring. Condition I can find a few things wrong with this motorcycle. They are listed below=Issue 1) Although the bike starts and revs just fine. it bogs down badly when being ridden. Issue 2) The air cleaner is worn and will need to be replaced. Issue 3) The right side rear view mirror is missing(the post is there but the mirror is gone). Issue 4) There is a small leak in the fuel line & it must be replaced or just shut the fuel off after riding or you will leak gas out on the motor. Issue 5) The headlight hi/low switch is missing and I'm not sure if the lights are working or not. I haven't messed with it much but I think at least the turn signals don't work Issue 6) I would guess that the bike has been re-painted at some point. and there is a slight amount of damage to the paint(see last photo for the worst of the damage). As you probably already know most of the old dual sport bikes like this one were stripped down to be trail bikes. and then they were beat to smithereens. That has not happened to this one though. it was very well preserved. I was told that this bike was purchased by the owners grandpa new and barely ridden until he got it from his grandpa in 2011. He licensed it and rode it around for a couple summers until I talked him out of it. Now it has just sat in my garage waiting for me to get around to restoring it. and now I can't do what I want to it. It breaks my heart to sell my motorcycles. but it has to be done. All of my pictures are of the actual bike that you will receive so you can try to see the condition of the motorcycle for yourself. I expect full cash payment at the time of pick-up on this bike. If you need me to hold it for any reason please let me know. There will be a non-refundable $100 PayPal deposit required if you need me to store this bike. I'm sorry to do that but I just held a barber chair for 2 months only to get stiffed on the payment. Shipping is not offered for this auction. it is local pick-up only. I will do my best to help out a 3rd party shipping company if you do chose to hire 1 I will leave positive feedback for you. nbsp;but only after you leave positive feedback for me. Please ask me any questions that you may have with the "ask seller a question" feature and I will be happy to answer them as best I can as soon as possible
