Description

I am the 2nd owner of this Kawasaki KD-175. This bike is essentially a new motorcycle. I purchased this bike 16 years ago in February. 1999. It was originally purchased locally and was a birthday gift to a gentleman for his 40th birthday by his family. I happen to like vintage Japanese bikes know my local Honda dealer very well. In early 1999 the owner of the store called me up and told me of this bike and said "you have to have this for your collection. It is like new. come and see it". The original owner traded it at the local Honda dealer for a new outboard motor for his fishing boat. At that point. he was in his early 60's. This Kawasaki was used minimally and he told the dealer it has four-or-five hours on it total. I would guess it would have roughly 100 total miles on it. The reason the original owner kept it even that long was because it was a gift. The KD-175 is the stripped down version of the KE-175. The KD version has none of the street legal items that appear on the KE model. The KD-175 is the enduro model - completely off road. but not a race bike - just an exceptional light trail bike for its era. In the shadow if the KE-175. the KD-175 did not sell overly well. making this a rather rare bike as well. Making this bike much more scarce is its condition. It is essentially new. Never down. never banged up and barely sporting even the faintest scratch. This KD-175 is completely original. even down to its original tires. I estimated I have used this bike about three or four times. We live on 15 acres and it has never left the property. The bike runs fantastic and needs nothing. It was purchased strictly for my motorcycle collection. It has been stored in-doors and in a museum type setting. Thanks for looking and good luck. As a side note. I am selling a few other samples from my collection of bikes. Feel free to browse my other listings. Financial Details: A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due immediately after winning auction via PayPal and after that we can discuss whatever works best for you. As with any other seller. I will not turn over the bike until it is paid for in full. Shipping is up to the buyer. I do have ample space and will be happy to store the bike for a few weeks as needed to accomodate as shipping details are arranged. United States only please.
