1983 KZ1100LTD, low 7.5k miles, excellent condition, full Vetter setup

1983 KZ1100 LTD at 7. 5K original miles. Rare dealer-option full Vetter "Nightstalker" fairing. bags. and trunk. I bought this bike in 2011 as a "garage queen" that had last been registered in 1985. Only changes to stock setup are Progressive 440 rear shocks (very nice) to replace failed originals. Progressive front shock springs since stock got soft. Taylor plug wires (since I got shocked). and tires. I freshened it up and ran it 1. 00 miles in the Concours Owners Group (COG) VT rally (2011) where the crew loved it. I still love riding it. However. it gets less riding these days because I bought a 2003 Concours ZG1000 in 2012. tuned up that suspension. added some stuff. and tend to ride it around and on longer rides (Nova Scotia. TN/NC/VA/KY/AR. ) more. Partly to preserve the mileage on the KZ. other partly because the ZG can throw down 600 mi/day on the freeway and I don't want to beat on the KZ like that. One guy. two bikes. borrowed garage. time to see the KZ off to someone who will truly appreciate and ride it. Carbs Kawasaki dealer rebuilt by Performance Cycle in Shrewsbury MA last summer. Runs a bit cold till warm. no issues. would be a quick tuning at the dealer to "fatten it up" a bit if you want it hot quicker. This bike is altogether a great rider and great example of what these bikes were and should be. Clean tank. original paint. couple minor cracks in right side cover and one in trunk lid easily fixed- everything works well and nothing is missing. A few scuffs on the edge of a side bag. a little blistering on the gauge chrome wraps and headlight tabs (both behind the fairing). bit of rust on the headers and under the rear fender. It was long garaged before I got it and has been garaged since. It runs and rides tight and right. It is registered and insured and miles will increase while for sale. Taking it to a vintage Japanese motorcycle show and swap meet on 4/19 if the weather is right. Want to see it. great. Want to ride it. must have cash to cover. I will strongly suggest this is not a bike for a first-time rider: while nimble and respectfully ridden. it is quite powerful. Comes with some parts: front rotors. front calipers (2 sets). rear rotor. rear caliper mount and caliper. nbsp;unused air filter. tri-mount case savers in black. "crash" bar. factory service manual. Last year I guy happened to have one of these in my town. without the Vetter package. and with some chroming he had done on case covers. with peeling chrome on forks. It sold for $5. 00.
