Description

Up for auction is a beautiful example of an unrestored 1976 Kawasaki KZ900A. I have owned this bike for a few years now, nd will hate to see it go. Clear title in my name. This bike has been sold, wned and maintained within my local area it's whole life. Dealer sticker is still on the tail light. I have the original warranty booklet with the original owners warranty form still inside. Original owners manual and tool kit still fully intact and look unused. This is an absolutely beautiful bike, nd the fact that it's remained unmodified and original it's whole life is amazing. I boughtthisbikefrom an older gentleman that was the 3rd owner. His friend and him bought a pair of these brand new. This onebeing the one that his friend bought. Here is a short video of the bike running https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb-f2ZaFOWg

The seat and exhaust were removed early in it's life and properly tuckedaway and replacedwith an aftermarket seat and exhaust. When I bought it the original exhaust was reinstalled but the seat was still in storage. I then obviously reinstalled it. So the chrome 4 into 4 exhaust and seat are in great shape since they were hardly used! I took a closeup picture of the right upper pipe, he chrome has a slightwavy like appearance to it, ompared to the rest. Not something that needs attention, r repaired. And according to thegentleman Ibought it from, he pipes are absolutely original and were not on the bike all that long.

Paint is original and looks beautiful. I tookcloseups of aany imperfections in the tank and tail. Obviously thebikehas been used over the years, o body work doesn't lookquite like a concours restoration bike, ut it sure is close. Inside of tank looks like new and has never had any sealer etc.

Chrome is all original andbeautiful. No evidence of pitting or corrosion. Headpipesof the exhaust were the only area that had any slight pitting, hich was/is minor and pretty much all came off with light steel wool.

All the lights, iring, witches, nd charging system work as they should. 4-way flasher still intact and operating.Turn signal flasher and battery just replaced last season.

Original airbox system with a newstock replacement air filter.Carburetors disassembled, ltrasonically cleaned, nd reassembled with original jets, ew needle and seats/o-rings/gaskets/fuellines. Carbs sync'd and set up well. Bike runs nice. Original petcock has been rebuilt but still doesn't internally seal correctly, o I just replaced it with a Pingel petcock which will last forever, rig. petcock included.

Engineoperates perfect, hifts perfect and sounds great. After purchasing I adjusted the valves and timing chain, eplaced valve cover gasket, nd also replacedall the side cover gaskets and seals since they all seeped a little oil. Bike doesn't drip any oil and hasn't sincegoing over it. Oil and filter recently changed as well. Engine number is Z1E-089539

Points and condensers are new, iming setup as per manual, lugs and wire ends new. Grips are new stock style replacements, tach cable is a motion pro replacement, tires areIRC radials that are in nice shape. Chain guardis a newstock style replacement, ront brakepads and rear shoes are new. Front brake master cylinder has been rebuilt with a Kawasaki rebuild kit. Right side of frame has been touched up here and there with some black paint, ooks nearly original, nd you wouldn't know it unless I told you, therwise all other paint is original.

Overall this bike is a true survivor that runs and rides great. I have taken it to several bike meets and it always draws a crowd. I have had a blast riding this bike. It rides so nice and smooth, nd runs nice and quiet. Haslots of power and runs perfectly up through the rpm range in each gear. This bike needs nothing and is ready to show, ide or collect.
