1979 KAWASAKI KZ 1000 -B3 KZ 1000 LTD, 1000LTD, KZ900, Z1

1979 Kawasaki LTD 1000 Midnight Blue with OEM feathered decals. Kawasaki calls the color Glacier Green. This bike is a nice original example of the the cool Superbike era of the late 1970s when bikes were fast yet still comfortable. This bike is a good running bike with only 13,044 original miles, t has newer Dunlop white lettered tires that are no longer available, hich are in great shape, he bike has had recent maintenance having the carbs cleaned, uned, nd synced, lso a new battery. The bike starts and runs great, lutch and gear shift work smoothly, everything works" It was kept in storage from 1982 until 2014 which is why it has such low miles, ut sitting over the years it has developed some lite surface rust and corrosion on misc parts, ost likely from climate change and condensation inside the building it was kept in. I have not done any serious cleaning or detailing on the bike which would really make it nice, ut I believe most of that could be scrubbed off with some lite duty cleaner or 000 steel wool. Or just ride it as it is. There is a small tear in the back left side of the OEM seat cover, he seat pan is perfect. Also it has an aftermarket Kerker exhaust 4into1, hich were very popular when this bike was new, t has surface rust that could easily be sand blasted and repainted,it has new packing and sounds great. The bike was fitted with K&N filters and re-jetted, ll done when the bike only had 500 miles on it, lus Generx Ignition and dyna coils which is prob why this one starts so easy vs/stock. These bikes are getting harder and harder to find in nice original condition, his bike is very original other than the above listed upgrades I mentioned. Plus this bike has never been down. I've watched several this year sell for over $8k on eBay that were only a point or two over this bikes condition, nd with LTD 900s fetching over 20k theses are obviously the next to go.
