Description

Hello,
I've decided to sell my bike due to relocation and subsequent downsizing. I will describe everything about the bike as accurately and completely as possible. I have had this bike for five years; I first bought it in 2010 from a friend I then worked with. He had bought it new, aid it over when he hit some gravel and never got back on it. It was in his garage untouched for years. When I bought it from him the bike was still in its break-in period. I have been riding the bike weekly every summer since I bought it, xcept for this past year when I just didn't ride it as much.
Mechanically: I had it inspected when I first bought it, nd it was fine. The inspection sticker can be seen on the lower fork by the front wheel. I haven't had it inspected since 2010. It has never needed serviced, lthough I did regular oil changes when I was riding a lot. Anything beyond that has never been done on it since I have owned it. I have not had one problem, xcept for slow starts in colder weather. But I never rode it much during cold weather, nd it has been garage kept ever since I bought it. I have never had any mechanical issues at all. It has been a very reliable bike. Aside from routine maintenance, he only thing this bike needs is two new tires and the horn stopped working a few years ago. Also, he front fork isn't completely straight. That is, hen the front wheel is straight the handlebars are turned slightly to the right. I assume that happened when my friend wrecked because it's been that way ever since I bought it from him. I never had it repaired because it didn't affect how I drove it. I'm not sure how involved a job that will be to repair.
Physically: I think the bike is in great shape overall, ut it does have plenty of dings, icks and scratches. Please see all the pictures. My friend laid it over on the left side, hich explains the scratches along the entire right side: the fairings, he foot brake, he cracked turn signal and the dings on the exhaust. I dropped it once in my garage trying to move it, nd I dropped it on the left side, hich explains the scratch on the clutch lever and the broken left turn signal. There is one spot of rust on the center of the exhaust pipe, ottom center of the bike. I took a picture of it. Also, once wanted to remove the flame decals, hich is why the left side of the bike doesn't have some and the right side has all of them. I obviously never finished that project. I think even with all the scratches and the cracked turn signals it still looks pretty good. Most of them seem fine enough that it's not terribly noticeable. All the fairings are complete, here are no cracks in them, nly surface scratches.
If you're new to riding or unfamiliar with this bike, otice it doesn't have a fuel gauge. You'll just have to keep an eye on the trip odometer and reset it after every fill up. I haven't run it completely dry, ut I always fill up around 160 miles - that's about 75 miles per gallon. The bike has a clean title and I have it in hand, eady to transfer. I really like this bike; it's my first one and one day I will definitely get another one and a bigger one. But this one was great to learn on. It's reliable, un and extremely easy to ride. I hope I've covered everything. Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions, will do my best to answer them all. Thanks for looking!
