1978 Kawasaki KZ650 Custom ScramblerThis motorcycle was a fun build and a blast to ride! The concept of a mid-sized. 4 cylinder street scrambler was an exciting idea. Vintage Kawasaki Racing Green powder coat was the accent that makes this bike stand out. Satin Black powder coat on almost everything else. The motor had an original 13Kmiles before it was rebuilt with new gaskets and oil seals. the new digital odometer now reads 1mile per these photos but will slightly increase due to test rides. The sealed battery and electronics is tucked into a custom electrical tray under the seat. there is a battery piggy tail that extends out of the tray for charging access. The sleek KOSO digital mini dash unit provides: speedo. RPM. turn signals. neutral light. oil light and high bean light. Upgraded front brake master cylinder assembly and rebuilt brake systems. Alloy Renthal Moto-X handle bars with Kawasaki KX bend. dressed with OURY grips. Head Lamp has functional Rock Guard screen. Wide Moto-X cleat foot pegs for sure footing. Comfortable Bench seat with enough room for a passenger. passenger pegs included. Multi-Functional smoked lens. led brake lamp. provides turn signal function too. All new rubbers on shifter and kicker arm. Heavy duty nickle plated 630 o-ring chain. Powder coated rims and hubs laced with stainless steel spokes. New fork seals and fork oil. New steering bearings. Custom made 4into1 exhaust system. All new control cables and fuel lines. Stylish RIZOMA mirror. Old school green DICE air valve caps. New Dual Sport block tread set of tires. The carbs have been rebuilt. tuned and jetted to the exhaust system with K&N air pod filters. Valves and timing have been set. also has new points and condensers. The internal starter clutch components and main gear have been replaced with OEM Kawasaki parts. but still likes to be 'cold' started with the kicker arm and choke up. This bike starts up with first kick (in Los Angeles weather). then push button electric start for the rest of the ride. It has a nice idle (in Los Angeles weather) . handles great in the cities and solid on the highways. The dual front disk brakes provide decent stopping power. Its fuel tank has a nice midnight black paint with micro flake and has new metal Kawasaki emblems. The fuel tank is lined with a rebuilt petcock. The nice roaring sounds from the mufflers. gives this bike an angry racy sound. No oil on the ground. Total eye candy with a dark. aggressive style! Clean Title in hand.
