Hi everyone! For sale is my 2001 Kawasaki Ninja 250 in Firecracker Red. I got her with 16. 88 miles back in May 2010. It currently has 41. 74 miles. I know that that may seem like a lot of miles but it has mostly been highway miles. I've changed the oil every 3. 00 miles myself and adjusted the valves every 6. 00 miles as well as balancing the carbs when I could. The Good: 1) CLEAN Pennsylvania Title in Hand 2) Gets 68-70mpg's on the Highway consistently! (Once got over 300 miles on a 4. 8 galon tank!) 3) It has a 15-tooth front sprocket (Stock is 14-tooth) and 44 tooth rear (Stock is 45) for better highway riding/higher top speed. 4) It has bar-end mounted round carbon-fiber effect e-bay mirrors (I have the stock mirrors too) 5) Mirror Block-off plates for the fairing holes where the stock mirrors used to mount. 6) Flush mount front turn signals 7) Rear Turn signals are arrow-type signals 8) The rear tire is a 130-section Bridgestone Spitfire and has decent tread on it. 9) The chain was replaced a 1. 00 miles ago and is a D. I. D Gold colored chain. No rust. Always lubed and adjusted. 10) Have other odds and ends going with the bike too like a bike cover (sun-faded a bit but works). the oil-filter and oil-screen gaskets. etc. 11) Battery still has a charge and was safely stored when I stopped using the bike regularly. The not so good: 1) The carbs need cleaning and hence the bike does NOT run currently because of this. I used to start her up on carb fluid every now and again but haven't done that in a while. 2) The gas cap lock cylinder is stuck for some reason and it won't open. 3) The steering head-bearings should be replaced. The steering head itself is fine. its that the bearing seem to have gone bad and it takes more effort than usual to turn the steering. 4) The fairings have cracks and the bike was dropped at around 10mph once. 5) The crush gasket for the exhaust headers leak a bit and make the bike loud. Nothing I complain about but there it is. 6) Front tire is old and dry rotting so should be replaced. 7) The ends on the clutch and brake levers' ends are broken but they work great. (The lever's are just shorter by half an inch because of this. ) Has been sitting for over a year. and my original plan was to turn her into a race bike to race at MSR here. but I'm letting her go to focus on other projects. She's always been dependable when I did not have a car and I would ride her everywhere without ever worrying about how far I was going. I work long shift's Monday-Thursday and I will throw on more pictures when I get a chance. I have been as truthful and complete in my description as I could. If you have any other questions then please do not hesitate to contact me :) Reserve is LOW. so this is hopefully going to sell! BUYER is RESPONSIBLE for Pickup! I do NOT deliver.
