KTM produced limited numbers of these bikes and each was serialized on top of the triple clamp, his one is number #078 of 500 produced worldwide in 1997.

I took possession of this bike around 2005, t was previously owned by a close friend. At the time it had about 4,000+ miles on the odometer. Obviously, have not ridden it much, specially in the past 5 years. I have routinely maintained the battery (tender), tarted it up, rove it around the block and covered it back up. The gas has been drained and refilled numerous times during the past years.

There is literally not one single scratch on the bike. The chrome wheels are in excellent condition and the paint (yes, he plastic is painted on these!) is flawless. The tires were replaced about 5 years ago, nd were never really run. They show no signs of age or dryness. This bike also does not drip any fluids. The only repairs made were a new petcock. The oil and filter were just recently changed (motorex oil / KTM filter). An owners manual and OEM mirrors (not pictured) and two keys are included.

*Issues know: 1.) In the one pic I put a close-up of the cylinder “jug” where the paint on the engine is flaking a bit due to corrosion underneath. It has been this way since the day I took ownership. 2.)Also, s mentioned, his bike has not truly been “rode” in the past 5-6 years, nd the bike is a 1997. The bike fires right up, lways has, nd idles fine, he Edelbrock carb (stock) is a know weakness of this bike, ost everyone replaces it with a Keihin 41mm flat slide carb which changes the LC4 entirely. The stock carb works, ut definitely has limitations. The stock Edelbrock Quicksilver II carb is a little jerky on the low-end and is not a rapid-return.

I have the title in hand; it’s a Virginia title. Listed local; reserve the right to cancel auction.

Selling because I really don’t ride street anymore, ust dirt. For more info on the KTM Duke I check out the following webpage : http://www.cifumotorsports.com/mc/1996duke/
