Description

Hello Guzzi fans. I have a 72 Moto Guzzi Ambassador up for sale it has Wixom Saddle bags and newer none stock paint job on it with some minor flaws that you cant see unless you are 2 feet away there are runs in the paint on the headlight bucket and tail light that can be sanded out just never got to it also 1 small pimple on the tank must have been dust when he painted it other than that just look at how nice it is in the pictures. The previous owner also power coated the frame and cleaned up the motor this is where I came in I was looking for a vehicle to flip and he had a pickup for sale so when I went to look at it low and behold what was sitting in his heated garage. he had it all back together but had carb and petcock problems so I bought it as is not running knowing it ran before he repainted it. I have been riding and restoring Guzzis for over 25 years so I pulled the carbs cleaned them out and also had a Guzzi friend look at them. Found a problem with the left one and replaced it synced them put on K&N filters etc. I have replaced most of any pitted chrome other than the passenger grab handles just cant find good ones. The chrome on the tank is pretty good for a bike that is 43 years old you have to get up really close to see any flaws. New Stainless head pipes and head clamps. The mufflers are Conti replicas that came on it. nbsp;New crash bars. Replaced the cables that needed replacing. fixed a leaking fork drain plug. adjusted the front brake and added a new cable. nbsp; All switches and lights work etc. Tires look good and have no dry rot or cracking et. runs and idles fine and I have ridden it short distances around the area but it is 8 degrees out today and the wind and snow are flying so I apologize for the pics if it is dry out and the suns out tomorrow I will add more. I have the Guzzi stickers for the tank and the 750 Ambassador ones for the side covers I just liked the look without them. I will include them in with the sale and also the stock airbox. The bike is being sold as is where it is with no warranties or returns. I will need a $150 deposit at auction Close. I can deliver bike within a 200 miles at $1. 50 a mile. Or you must pick up and be responsible for shipping. I will only take Cash or a bank check which must clear before I release the bike and title. Please email me with any questions and happy bidding! On Feb-16-15 at 08:02:11 PST. seller added the following information:Update Someone asked about the vin tag date compared to title date so i went and checked this morning the build date on the vin tag is Oct. of 71 and the title says 72. I have run into this before as I had a G-5 that had a build date of 78 but had a 79 title as far as I can figure this must be ship time or something who knows. The title vin matches the vin tag on the Bike but the engine # does not. Not sure why as it has the proper 750 motor with smooth case 4 speed trans. I was told that some euro models came here that way. But as I said it has a clean title etc.
