This is a running resurrection! It has been one of my great pleasures to coax this machine back to life on the road. I have put 400+ miles on it over the last 2 seasons including 2 visits to the Slimey Crud Run (think 100 mile day through the wisconsin countryside) . Rebuilt Speedometer and carburetor. Relined brake pads. New: wheel bearings. tires. Morgo oil pump. drive chain. wiring harness. head gasket. various other gaskets. coil and other "consumable ignition parts. Non-invasive oil filter set-up (no modifications to frame etc. ). Most of the replacement parts I used were NOS or used OEM found scattered all over the world. A few are aftermarket such as the battery box set-up and rear jiffy stand. The bike has some scratches in the paint and right side exhaust pipes. a few flakes of paint off the fenders etc. It leaks some oil from primary and sump. the kick lever has been brazed into place on the gear box shaft (I never needed to mess with it). the oil pressure gauge in the tank is not connected and does not appear to be original. The painted parts are not all of the same exact color and I'm not sure if it was originally Burgundy or not however that was an available color from Ariel. The tank seems like a newer paint job. I had the front fender painted to match as closely as possible. I have clear title in my name. Correct engine (XJ***). frame (ES) and gearbox (GB7) numbers (all original as far as I know). The bike came to me with some interesting documents (history! provenance!) which help a person put together a decent percentage (but not all) of the bike's history. This includes: sales receipts. nbsp;a couple California "pink slips" and registrations. a california license plate. receipts for an engine rebuild (at mileage 16. 99) - after which the bike spent a stint in the Bob Bondurant museum. When I got the bike the speedometer was not functioning and it was still at that same mileage. Now it reads ~ 428 milesWinning bidder - Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements.
