Further cleanout of surplus vintage cars, otorcycles and parts:

. This is a no reserve auction and the ROKON will be sold to the highest bidder, n or off auction. No title.

Not the typical worn out 40 year old classic dirt bike, his particular auction is for a good authentic original vintage 1974 Rokon RT340 Enduro motorcycle as shown. Located at my home in Georgia, t is an unmolested matching numbers survivor that needs restoration. Manufactured in March of 1974 it was purchased new by a friend in Alabama and was used very little. He recently passed away and his wife told me that he only used it in one or two enduros, idn't like the racing and parked it at his automotive body shop, here we found it. The good things about the bike is that it is all original and has original parts on it that are very hard to find anymore. The original VDO speedometer shows 173 miles, hich his wife said is probably correct. She said it just sat there at the body shop almost from new. The last, nd only, labama registration sticker that we could see on the bike is from the year 1975, o the mileage could indeed be correct but of course I cannot prove that. It has the original VDO speedometer, he enduro roll chart, he magnified glass stop watch time piece holder, eather tool bag, elsey Hayes front and rear disc brakes, ietz rear light assembly, riginal seat, riginal intermediate jackshaft transmission (works perfectly) and more. The pull start assembly is complete - the pull handle had been tie wrapped closed so that nobody pulls on it or the original wire rope will come out and not go back in because the return spring was broken and is not there - there is a brand new return spring that comes with the bike as shown in one photo. A few items that I know are missing but available on ebay a lot - and are cheap: Steel side cover, mall aluminum electric connector box cover, hain, ront bash plate and air box boot. The engine, hich is the original one, s seized. I removed the head to see what the internals might look like.(only 6 bolts). The piston and what I could see of the cylinder wall looked very good, s shown in a couple of photos. No damage or corrosion seen at all. I tried turning the engine over to break it loose but there is only a crankshaft nut to turn it with and there isn't enough leverage to do it with that, o I will leave it to the next owner - it will need to come apart anyway. The piston is the original standard sized piston. Both tires are the originals that came with the bike from new and are still in excellent condition except for their age of course. Both are Carlisle Aggressors - 3:25 X 19 front and 4:00 X 18 rear. Serial number is RT3401189. Engine number is 7487413 - Fichtel and Sachs AG Schweinfurt. Engine is the correct original one. Comes with a bill of sale only - there is no title. It is being sold for restoration but is a good period survivor and a proper one to restore - it is not the typical worn out dirt bike.

My Son and I restored one of these motorcycles a few years ago and is still in the basement as shown in the last three photos - for comparison only - other than that it has nothing to do with this auction and is not included in the auction.

Inspections are welcome and encouraged at any time before the auction ends. Shipping or collecting the motorcycle is the buyers responsibility. If necessary I can arrange it or assist with arrangement and can help with loading.

PAYMENT & BIDDING: Contact me if you have less than 5 feedbacks or your bid will be cancelled. A $500 non refundable deposit via Paypal is due immediately after the auction closes. The balance is due within 3 days via wire transfer, riority or overnight mail with a bank cashiers check or wire transfer. Full payment is to be made IN ADVANCE of collecting the motorcycle. IN ADVANCE, EFORE YOU COLLECT THE MOTORCYCLE - This is an auction and you have plenty of time to inspect the motorcycle personally or have a 3rd party inspect it - inspections are welcome and encouraged. Winning the auction does not mean that you now have the privilege of coming to inspect the motorcycle to see if you like it. When the auction is over, t is your motorcycle and payment is due at the close of the auction per these instructions. The Honda is at my home and can be left here for up to 30 days at no charge before collection. After that I have the option of charging a storage fee. In my experience a lot of the motorcycles sold on ebay are usually a wholesale priced bargain. I have sold approximately 25 cars and motorcycles on ebay and they were all a bargain.

After selling some of the highest quality and hardest to find car parts, ars and motorcycles on ebay for over 17 years I have retired and am winding down and selling off the last of my vintage parts. Most of them have been in the garage for 50 years or more and their "condition", ven though the part might be new old stock does not necessarily mean that it looks like it was made yesterday. Keep in mind that there may be some (and may not) minor flaws (surface rust, icks, tc) simply from age and many years of storage.
