2012 Zero S ZF6 - Zero Motorcycles
Full specs here:
-Electric motorcycle
-Single-speed transmission (carbon fiber belt)
-14,017 miles
-Two owners, lean title
-Never had mechanical issue
-Never had any accidents, inor or major
City (EPA UDDS) 76 miles (122 km)
Highway (commuting, 0mph continuous) 43 miles (69 km)
No noticeable degradation in battery capacity (range), hich makes sense because battery pack estimated to hit 80% of original capacity at 205,000 miles (330,000 km). Thus, inear degradation would suggest 1.4% capacity lost to date (~1 mile of range lost).
Phenomenal resale value and service life expected:
-Battery pack on this model will last for 205k miles, s compared to 2011 model year at only 70k miles (major upgrade in life and energy density came from Zero switching to an automotive format lithium polymer cell).
-Motor is brushless permanent magnet motor, s compared to 2011 model year with a brushed motor (which requires brush maintenance!)
-Controller is an AC controller, s compared to 2011 model year of a brushed DC controller (which has stall current risks).
Hello!
I bought this motorcycle earlier this year and I've taken great care of it. I am selling it because my office has moved locations and my commute has gotten longer. I am upgrading to a larger battery pack model of the same Zero S product line.
The bike exceeds the "Very Good Condition" rating on Kelley Blue Book. I always try to take pictures of any blemishes in items that I put up for sale, ut this beauty doesn't have many. It has never been dropped, nly ever used as a commuter bike and parked in a covered parking garage.
Most of the mileage has been on Alma St., entral Expressway, nd Foothill Expressway going 35-55 mph, ever driving highway speeds. It is an excellent, eliable, orry-free product: you should know that if you are buying an electric vehicle. You get bonus points because I am an electric vehicle engineer and I can help to explain exactly how this powertrain works.
The 2012 model year Zero Motorcycles are the best deal for affordability, eliability, nd longevity with an electric bike. As I discussed above, ero made a major powertrain improvement from their 2011 and prior model years. Similarly, heir 2013 model years still sell for $9k-11k on Craigslist (I've been monitoring their prices!).
You can message me to discuss, nd I will give you my cell phone number for text/phone call.
