Up for auction is a sweet custom made Honda Goldwing trike/car. This is titled as a 2012 self assembled motorcycle. It uses a 1998 Honda Goldwing GL1500 motorcycle as the base/powerplant for this machine. The bike has roughly 89K miles on it. A custom tube frame was built around the GL1500 by a Race Car frame maker out of Michigan. The all aluminum body was made by Ornery Don out of Michigan also. The body removes pretty easy, sing Dzus fasteners.
The doors remove just like Jeep Wrangler doors and actually stow behind the driver/passenger seats. She is a little cold blooded, ut runs fine when she warms up. Quick change/removable steering wheel to help you get in and out of the seat. She has reverse, sing the stock goldwing reverse system and there is a back-up camera installed so you can see what's behind you. There is a auxiliary fuel tank to help give added range. She turns heads wherever you go. If you dislike talking to strangers, his isn't the car/bike for you.
Any other questions, lease e-mail me.
I had a question about driveability and the foot controls. I have added a picture and here was my response about driving it. Somehow the question wasn't added to the ad.
I have personally driven her about 400 miles, mix of in town and highway cruising. When you drive it the first time or two, 5 or so is the comfort zone. Once you get used to the steering (small, ight inputs on the wheel) you'll bump your cruising speeds up.
I am comfortable cruising 60-65 with her. I have seen 70+, ut backed off as I wasn't in a hurry to get anywhere. Control are on the floor, ust like a car. I will snap a picture today of those, guess I forgot to mention that. The shifter is located between the seats and is 1st gear forward and the rest are back, s it uses the motorcycles transmission.
