1962 ROYAL ENFIELD 350 single,

Original Redditch built

Original non-transferable registration on black and white plate, 5 present, OT current, 2 owners since 1962, istoric vehicle tax (£0.oo)

Not concours but shiny side of oily rag condition, with many new parts fitted, ncluding forks, udguards, eat, entre and side stand, lutch, ront brake, pokes, ims etc.

Its not getting any younger, ust steadily appreciating and spares available world wide.

This is an original six volt coil ignition model, fitted with a 1⅛ Amal concentric carb. The wiring is in good condition with english connectors and the ignition switch has been replaced and comes with two proper keys. Many of the nuts are stainless steel as is the rear brake rod. It has a "Thunderbird" twin leading shoe front brake which is new and needs bedding in, the original single leading shoe brake wheel will be included in the sale if the buyer desires to go back to originality, s are a few other spares). It is fitted out with original controls and also the Royal Enfield neutral finder is fully functional. It is in a decent state of repair and MOT'd up to March 16.

The motorcycle has been fully serviced including a decoke and new top end (head) gasket fitted. Reynolds chain, ull clutch rebuild, nd yes it does drip a bit of oil from the primary chain case, Itsa brit innit) The exhaust system has age related marks but polishes up and sounds just like a sixties single should. Don't expect many record breaking standing quarter miles or sub 30 minute TT laps on this bike, t boasts a mere 17bhp but will potter along all day in the low fifties. The true milage is unknown, ue to a replacement (Smiths) chronometric speedometer, ut is not a smoker. Starts easy and has plenty of grunt. Pulls effortlessly from 20mph in top.

It is a nice no fuss vintage machine that turns heads as you ride thro villages.

You will however find yourself with an inane grin on your face as you blast down the road passing tractors.
