Description

Suzuki made a few hundred GSX-R1000 MotoGP Rizla replica machines for 2008. They were not sold in North America. Some paid homage to factory Suzuki rider/racer Loris Capirossi and some to his teammate Chris Vermeulen. This one says "Capirex". For what it is worth this is the only example I have ever seen or heard of existing in the USA.
This bike was not distributed through any Suzuki dealer in North America. It is a "rest of world" market bike that was sold new at Cycles Plus on the island of Guam. The 1st (and only) owner was a Japanese chef living/working there and he is an absolute bike and racing/MotoGP freak. He had the Guam dealer special order this bike on his behalf.
The owner moved to the Seattle area in 2013. The bike has been registered/titled here ever since. It has never been raced or abused. Never crashed, recked, amaged, ainted or otherwise repaired. Meticulous maintenance since day 1.
All the fluids are brand new. The battery is recent. The Michelin Power Supersport tires are brand new. This Suzuki runs, ides and operates exactly as new with 11,150 miles on the clock.
The bike came with 2 exhaust systems. The quiet versions as were delivered on any 08 GSX-R1000 and the Yoshimura TRC titanium/stainless slip-ons you see mounted on the bike. These slip-on cans still have the removable noise suppressors installed. The bike has a mellow yet still very aggressive sound in this configuration. Basically its freaking awesome. I can only imagine the difference if those gizmos come out.
It is 100% stock with a few exceptions:
~The oe front rotors developed a slight pulsation. New Italian-made ALTH floating rotors were sourced and installed.
~All the graphics are stock to the MotoGP Rizla model except for the "SBS Brakes" down by the footpegs and the "Kitaco Racing Company" on the swingarm.
~The black rubber tank grips (TechSpec) are aftermarket.
~The Guam dealer installed the yellow rim tape and I'm almost certain it was not part of the Rizla package.
~Deleted reflectors.
Cosmetically this bike is extremely nice/clean/presentable. Because it was on an island in the Pacific Ocean, here are a few small spots and bits of corrosion here and there. Just enough that the bike does not look like new in a couple areas.
Includes both factory keys, wner's manual and toolkit.
