Description

This has sat in the garage way too much in the last several years. I have a different lifestyle. too many things with not enough time to do them and just don't get to make time to ride any more. Up for auction is a 2003 Suzuki TL1000-R. I'm the original owner and have some extra items to go along with it. The bike has never been down and was purchased new in April of 2004 and currently has 12. 00 miles on it. Immediately after break-in period of 1200 miles I did the following:Installed Ivan's TREInstalled Power Commander IIInstalled used Yoshimura full exhaustremoved Pair valve and installed block-off plates at 2500 miles installed a deconstricted air-box. the mod was performed on a replacement airbox and I still have the factory original airbox that was removed. The Full Yosh system was purchased used with a little bit of road rash on the left can and midpipe. If you swap the cans you barely notice it. Again the rash on the can was from the previous owner of the exhaust. I still have the original exhaust that can be installed if the buyer would like to take the bike back to stock. I prefer to do any modifications on replacement parts and keep the original parts as factory. The Pair valve is also included if the buyer wasn't to reinstall. It didn't fail but if you are familiar with the item. when the fail the general practice is to simply remove it and install block-off plates. However. the installation of the block-off plates requires removal of the the exhaust to get to the rear cylinder. So since I was going to replace the factory exhaust with the Yosh system. I elected to go ahead and remove the pair valve and install the plates at the same time as the exhaust work while I was in there. Zero Gravity Double Bubble windscreen installed and I still have the original factory windscreen in like new condition which will be included. The left control housing (turn signal. horn. high beam) was replaced with one from a 2005 Hayabua to add the Flash-to-pass trigger. (I still have the factory original part) Suzuki Tank Bra included Suspension front and rear are factory. The wheels currently on the bike are from a 2005 Hayabusa. I prefer the look of the black wheels over the factory white and also got tired of cleaning the white wheels. The factory while wheels are still included. The factory white wheels will need replacement rubber on them but include both front rotors. the rear rotor. sprocket and have no issues (dent/warp/crack) including the bearings. The stands are nothing special but are included. The are made by Handy Industries and have the spools attachments on them. I will also look for the universal non-spool pads as I did purchase a set of those for the stands as well. Rear Solo cowl was purchased used seperate since the dealer didn't have one at the time. This cowl has no issues except its not a factory paint job. Since it's all black it doesn't clash with the bikes paint scheme. I had intentions of transitioning to the Black/Silver european paint scheme (or maybe some other custom color combo) so I started acquiring another entire set of body work which is included. Factory upper - no issuesradiator/chin shroud - no issuesLeft and right side panels - Both have all of the mounting tabs intact to attach to the bike but each have issues with the mounts that attach the air tubes to the side panels. At the time I just figured I would have it fixed and strip the previous owners paint off. There is a crack on the battery door and both sides were previously cut for frame sliders. tail section - this was previously stripped and has been primered. No issues on it. belly pan #1 - has been stripped and has no issues except it looks like someon cut a little bit off the very rear of it. Looks in factory new shape otherwise. no cracks. belly pan #2 - This was has some sort of glue residue on it but no other issues and is fully functionalTank - has been painted but has a small dent on the right side. I don't have the key. Inside is clean and clear of rust. Other items included: Tank Bag battery chargervideo camera mount that attaches to tank canyon dancer to assist with transporting on a trailer FastBag (yellow colored item that looks like a big rear seat cowl) Just do a search for "fastbag motorcycle luggage". This item is a soft accordian type expandable bag that sits on the rear seat and straps down to the subframe. There are 2 compartments. The top hard section has a keyed lock. Unlock it and open like you would any other trunk or pull the top section completely off. Underneath but on the top portion of the accordian section is a set of velcro flaps. Open the flaps and start filling the lower section. As you add items in the lower section expands up. After you have finished filling with clothes for example. you fold the velcro flaps over the top and cinch it down on the seat. The flaps will form a flat section at the bottom of the upper compartment when you attach the hard shell. lower section would be good for a change of clothes while the top section would be good for something like a small laptop/netbook or digital SLR camera. To give an idea of what the mileage has been on the bike since I purchased it.
